Show was really good! However, the volume of the music and the crowdedness was not that good...
The show took place at Terminal 5 and as you may know it's a small venue for raves.
Due to the venue's size, the music was blasted at an extreme high volume. By extreme I mean like it 'fucks your ear drum extreme' and it's coming from someone who raves regularly and goes to Avant Gardner, Mirage, etc.
As of right now, it's been 18 hours since the show and my left ear drum sound still hasn't fully come back (it's still muffled). I'm unsure if this will become temporary or permanent ear drum damage, but I will be making a trip to the doctors.
Another issue I had with the loud volume was that I wasn't able to talk to my bf unless i screamed in his ear, or even hear wtf William Black was saying in the mic, or even make out the lyrics to his songs. The sound bled so hard
As for the crowd issue, I'm typically the type to stand on the side of the crowds or in the back because I like being able to move around and have space, however due to my height (I'm short), standing in the back wasn't an option because everyone that I saw that they were like 5'7 and above...and on top of that in the back the 2nd floor balcony kinda makes the height of the ceiling shorter so it's harder to see the stage unless ure tall.
So my only choice was to stand at the side because I want to be able to headbang and move. However, that also didn't end well either because even though I stood on the side...people ended up crowding around me. I didn't even have the space to raise my hand up.
Overall, I wished the music volume was lower and that there was more space.
Venue was amazing, lots of places to view the show! I personally went from the center front up to the balcony and the sound quality was so good from both spots. Slothrust was also so amazing! The show was so fun and there was also plenty of merch so it didn't feel like you had to rush to get anything :)
I’ve seen Little Simz Twice! I actually got to meet her at the first show I saw, and I have to say, what an amazing experience it was! She was absolutely incredible! I’ve been to many concerts ,from Beyoncé to Jay Z and her concert spoke to my whole being! She was so humble and welcoming when I met her! We had a conversation she laughed with me and was just so sweet. She’s my favorite Rapper and meeting her was one of the greatest experiences I’ve ever had! She was incredibly gracious and her performances at both shows I saw were top tier! I will see her again when she comes back to the US and I wouldn’t mind going over seas if I could! ♥️ A Must see Artist! And if you aren’t listening to her yet, You’re missing out!
bad omens never disappoints and sounded amazing but the crowd was a mess. too many drunken fights & kids getting hurt by large men being reckless. the venue should have been more diligent with removing people. the temperature inside was also insanely hot with little air flow, which definitely added to the crowd tension
amazing !!! she is so talented and really knows how to put on a show. it wasnt 5/5 because there were these balloons that were supposed to drop during a song. im not sure what happened, but they never dropped. instead, half of them poured out a few at a time as the night went on from one of the nets holding them. kind of disappointing, and they let them drop when the concert was fully over. other than that, the concert was amazing.
Fantastic performance ! M83 did not disappoint last night as they unveiled some great new music from Fantasy, the new album. A standout in my mind being Oceans Niagara that sucks you in and bounces along. They also blew it apart playing some fan favorites like Wait, Mirror, We Own the Sky, My Tears are Becoming a Sea, Outtro, and Midnight City among others.
It was everything I’d hoped for in an M83 show this being my first time seeing them. The sound was good if you were in the right spot. They sounded very well prescribed and rehearsed. The bass was absolutely penetrating! There was a moment where they had a pulsating bass droning on for about three minutes that absolutely shook your teeth. You could feel it shake the entire building! Really an awesome show! They’re energy was great! Venue was jam packed! Great night! Loved every second!!! Thank you M83!!!!
Ripe is a fabulous band and they really bring the energy to every show! Excellent overall musicianship, Robbie is great lead singer and the horn section makes the night so much fun. This is the 3rd time I saw them live but won’t be my last Ripe show! And Terminal 5 in NYC is a great venue — fun large space, great acoustics, enough bars and bathrooms so there are never any lines, and no drama with security at the door. Top spot for live music in NYC!
OMG! Ella Mai is the real deal, hands 🙌🏾 up!!!! I was completely blown away by her performance, stage presence and overall beauty. I’m so glad iDecided to attend such an incredible intimate live performance. 🎭 Thank you, Ella Mai for putting on an amazingly beautiful performance. 👏🏾 #TheDashExperience encourages everyone, everywhere the Emaix Tour Drops, to grab your tickets and GO! Be prepared to be entertained, BIG ENERGY!
Loved it doors opened at 7 the fast pass line I was in came in at 7:15 didn’t know she had 2 openers (Jai’len Josey and Alex Vaughn) only knew about Alex. Nevertheless, they were both amazing to me. Towards the end of Alex’s set there was a little squabble since almost everyone were standing for about two hours.
I’m sooooooooo happy I went to see my Queen!!!! Never a disappointment, she shuts it down every time! I love you Ari 😍😍😍!!!! The best experience eveeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!
although I purchased VIP tickets I didn’t get my vip package and the ticket people could have done better at making sure the people who purchased the VIP tickets got to their seating space in order to get the experience they paid for.
5 stars. I don’t know if it was the pandemic, or the When We Were Young festival, but these boys unleashed a fire that I haven’t seen from them in years. Wife got a video of Davey and I singing Days of the Phoenix together, easily the best AFI show I’ve ever gone to. They’re always great live, but on the 9th, they performed like uncaged animals, and I hope the next show maintains that raw energy.
But we’re also a little older now, so everyone remember the ice and aspirin for after.
hands down, the best concert i’ve ever been to. the boys are incredible live and get better every show. they give such insane energy to the crowd and interact with people so much. all of their songs live are such a special experience and i would see them every show if it was physically possible. 100000/10 would recommend!!!!!!
Lucky Daye put on a performance! I had such a wonderful time. He sounds amazing live and he did a great job interacting with the crowd! Also his team is professional and top-notch! They did a great job with getting us into the venue and making such the meet and greet experience was memorable. I can’t wait until his next concert. I wouldn’t miss it 🥰!
It started a later than expected but bayyyyybeeee did Tinashe deliver! She went all out and gave a show that was more than worth it. The energy was amazing. I loved how she utilized the stage and had multi-level platforms, a band, and dancers. I’ve never seen that done at a medium sized venue like Terminal 5 since usually larger capacity venues have the space for all the extra stuff so it was definitely unique and different. I’m so glad I got to see Tinashe perform because she is a total star. Her dancers were spectacular and the band was straight vibing with the crowd. You can hear the careful artistry and craftsmanship that goes into her music and makes you appreciate it more. Also the pre-show DJ was real lit. I would 100% attend this show again!
I love summer as an artist and I understand she has social anxiety and this is her first (and last) tour, but she didn’t really do a performance in my eyes. She’s an amazing singer live but she performed each song in the same low vocal tone, even when certain high notes were supposed to be there. It became a bit monotonous and boring. The dancers definitely saved and stole the show. Melii was good at putting on a performance and I don’t know much of her songs! There’s a difference between an artist and a performer and Summer, as sad to say, is just an artist.
It couldn’t have been better. Security was fairly high and I felt very safe! I only waited outside for about two hours before door time and I ended up in the third row!!
I had an amazing experience and dodie, Orla + the rest of the team were awesome.
I would definitely go back to terminal 5 (I think I am actually!) and I would see dodie again
Mr Murphy’s performance is always Awesome 👏🏻 🦇🖤🧛🏼♂️🎶🎼
But the audio from the instruments were so loud that we were unable to hear his amazing voice when he sang. Unfortunately, there were problems with his microphone 🎤 and that is unforgettable..! I feel ashamed because we are the Best country guys ..! And Technical problems or issues should be resolved before the performance. Your place is awesome 👏🏻 and I love your security staff 👍🏻 and all the staff from Terminal 5 are nice , professional ,courteous and Kool 👌🏻
The Neighbourhood was amazing.. The 2nd opening act was completely high outta his mind and was absolutely horrible.. Sad that crowd was awful also. Inconsiderate teen girls need to learn concert etiquette. I go to over a dozen concerts a year and this crowd was extremely rude. I saw the Neighbourhood twice and I have no complaints, they are absolutely amazing live.
The setlist: perfect
The girl behind me that kept catcalling Porches and at some point Jesse: not so perfect
The girl who wouldn’t stop trying to move up when there was literally no where for her to go: Almost punched in the face
Zac being right in front of me for 87% of the concert: EXCELLENT
Jesse looking at me during Sadderdaze and Afraid: Sweet Jesus
The drummer of Me and You: Wow
