Ogden Theatre

First time seeing Matisyahu and the performance far exceeded expectations! I very frequently go to live shows when I was struck by how much passion, originality and soul was behind his music. There was clearly emotion and soul refected in his lyrics and he was intuned with his touring band members. As it was my first Matisyahu show I had no idea that he did beatboxing and he did 5- 10 minutes of beatboxing looping session that was off the hook!. I won't miss out on another local Matisyahu show ever again! moving forward.

I love the used, but I wish their meet and greet passes had the show ticket included. I got the meet & greet pass first and had to wait til I had some more money to spend by that time tickets were on resale for more than the meet and greet. I have seen they perform over 20 times but I LOVE THE MEET & GREET, I wish we had more time to chat with them, I have questions I have been wanting to ask for years.

We had an awesome experience at the Ogden Theater. We managed to get spots right up front, which made the night even more memorable. The crowd was relaxed and respectful, and thankfully, the sound levels were perfect—not so loud that it left our ears ringing, but still powerful enough to feel the energy. Parker Millsap kicked things off with a solid performance full of heart. Then, Larkin Poe took the stage and brought incredible energy. Their set was dynamic, with a great variety in presentation—from gritty blues-rock to more intimate moments, and even a little bluegrass. The band had a strong connection with the audience, and the performance felt both polished and raw in the best way. To top it off, they came back out for an encore—which, from what we’ve heard, isn’t always a guarantee. It was a fantastic way to end an already memorable night.

Legitimately the best show I have ever seen any genre. No two shows of his will be alike. Most shows you go and want to hear a song you know. But, Harry creates an interactive dynamic that has you waiting to interact with a song nobody has every heard while he comes up with it off the top the dome. His genius and creativity are so far beyond any artist you will see in person. Harry is the best freestyle artist in the world hands down

I've never been to the Ogden. Pretty cool venue. I work at the Zoo bar in Lincoln, NE. I know cool bars. As far as bands, there are not many that I will drive across the whole state of Nebraska to see, and then turn around and drive home the next morning. Soul Coughing is legitimate fun. Steam off consciousness lyrics, stand up bass work that stands up any jazz trio on acid, keyboard/sound mechanic that puts to shame many industrial bands, and a very solid drummer who is well versed in many styles. I've seen in articles that they refer to themselves as slacker jazz, but they work too hard and create too much insane fun to be slacker anything. How about try beat hop jazz, maybe?

I was honestly disappointed. The concert was supposed to start at 8:00, but the first band didn’t start until 8:30. The band was okay, but not very energetic. Then, after a long break, Echo and the Bunnymen didn’t start until 9:15. They played for a half an hour and then they took a 15 minute break before starting again. After all of these breaks, I felt let down. My husband and I go to concerts quite often, and we have never had so much empty time. As much as I enjoy their music, I will never go to see them again.

I didn't know the openers before the show and didn't really enjoy them, but Black Veil Brides more than made up for it. They were AMAZING, not surprisingly. Their show was fantastic and definitely worth hearing bands that I didn't like. I'll 1000% be seeing them again. As far as the venue...I forgot how small the Ogden is, which is usually a good thing but it really felt overcrowded, like the show had been oversold. There wasn't much room to stand and the line for the merch was a wreck, half the people thought they were waiting in line for the bar and it was moved and restarted half a dozen times. My husband stood in that line for the entirety of both opening bands, including the time in between.

Got there a little after the openers started and the whole place was packed already. It was tough to find a good vantage point to be able to see the stage from as a short person, even in the balcony. The band brought the good, fun vibes but the lights shining into the balcony were often blinding and the sound mix was a bit off so the vocals got drowned out in the instrumentals at points throughout the show. Also Jackie Onassis wasn't the vocal performance I had hoped it would be and the camp versions of some of the old songs didn't quite hit as hard as the original arrangements, but the Jet cover brought some good, surprising and needed energy to the middle of the show.

This is the absolute best show I have ever been to. All three bands are at the top of their genres of virtuoso playing. Eluveitie is the most spiritual, most revitalizing, most impressive band I have ever seen live. The only band who could compare in a live setting is Epica. These are simply the best live musicians out there today. Fabienne Erni is a complete force of nature on stage and defies all expectations of a live vocalist. they are a must see.

It was absolutely amazing!! One Ok Rock put on the best damn show! My favorite concert so far of this yr!! You Me At Six was killer. Fame on Fire was probably the best opening act I have seen in awhile, I never been more hyped for a band I didn't know. They are definitely got something going on!! And the venue was great, for once I didn't have a hard time seeing! I could see perfectly and I had great view of center of the stage.

The venue had a good amount of room and great ventilation. The opening act was good but still needs a few tweaks to their show to be truly great. Polyphia have continued to improve their live show each time I've seen them. This was no acceptation. The only thing I found missing was the throngs of people surfing across the crowd. It was much more subdued from other shows. Overall it was a great set and I can't wait for the next show, these guys are simply amazing.

Fantastic!! Raw, emotional, a release. Pure joy by the end of it. Their "encore" was more like a 2nd act, considering it consisted of 6 songs. And I consider those bonus songs because they walked off the stage after All I Ever Wanted and that was a perfect song to end on. Absolutely loved the intimacy at the Ogden. It sadly wasn't as packed as I expected it to be, shame on all of you who didn't go. Mondo Cosmo opened for them, and I bought their CD after their set, something I haven't done in years. Cannot wait to discover their music and ride their journey through the soundscapes, but one thing is for sure: I'm definitely going to see them again.

I was blown away by how Abner and Amanda performed up here in Denver. I wish I could replay that night over and over. It wasn’t about them being front and center, but about building community and communion through the stories/songs they’ve recorded. They aim to connect with the crowd that connects with their unbelievable talent and humble lives. I know for fact that as soon as they announce their next show in Denver I’ll be first in line for tickets. Thank you Amanda and Abner for creating something beautiful time and time again!

The show got cancelled and I got 0 updates sent to me, not from here, not from axs, not from nobody. So I showed up and the venue was closed 🤷🏼‍♀️ so it was a disaster and I went home to wallow in self pity and sadness that I had my entire day scheduled around this show. Heartbreaking to say the least.l, yet eager to find out when the new show date will be! 5 stars for ATE but 0 for any platform that does not update show cancellations.

HALF-ALIVE continue to be one of the most entertaining bands touring. I originally discovered them as the opening band for Twenty One Pilots. I've listed to their music for months now on Spotify. I love every song that have released. Their live performance at the Ogden Theatre to a packed enthusiastic crowd was sensational. Lead singer Josh Taylor is a genuine entertainer as well as a talented musician / singer. The presentation is highly unique and I wouldn't want to mention it only because anyone reading this review would be jaded by it and not get the surprise effect at a live performance. The audience at the Ogden were obviously fans. Cheering so loudly at times that we absolutely stopped the show. I think Josh Taylor and the other band members were pleasingly stunned by our reaction to the show. I cannot wait to see Half Alive again and again. Hopefully they will be booked at Red Rocks in the not too distance future......the Mission Ballroom also would be a step up in venue size. I know Half Alive's fan base will continue to grow leaps and bounds as people discover this band. Half Alive are here to stay......they will be an arena band over time. I just want them to tour and tour and tour because their shows are so much fun.

Since the last time Rival Sons were at the Ogden and heroically gave a great show despite many members (including Jay) being sick, we were super excited to see them live while *not* sick. They did so much more than just not disappoint; they were phenomenal! Very long set, which included the entire Pressure & Time album (or very nearly - there were so many songs I lost track), plus so many greats from way back when to recent stuff like Feral Roots. If it’s your favorite RS song, odds are they played it and rocked the shit out of it. All while dressed up for Halloween! Couldn’t. Be. Better. #happyplace #rockuallnight #rs=killershowalways

Simply the best of all time, opening with Nowhere Now & the stage scene from the video. The Ogden is a special place, restored to its past yet May 5. Cinco de Mayo, brought us all to our feet & arms waving with cheers. The day's party was fulfilled. Here's the toast. Steven closed saying to us he will return to perform in 2020 at Red Rocks...only if the city allows it. We applauded. He, Tim Bowness, & mates can play love you to bits anywhere here & round the world. Steven, this Friday, 12/6, the Gothic Theater presents Pineapple Thief & Gavin. Gavin returns in March. It would be awesome if you joined him bringing back memories of Porcupine Tree @ the Fox in Boulder. He is very special to those of us who know him from Herman's Hideaway. My brother is conservative but related to your site visit. I praise my past environmental engineering within our most precious public lands. His daughter & husband do work to recover the Gulf of Mexico. It's genetic. I did Pacific Ocean restoration work with Neal Young in Half Moon Bay below his Santa Cruz ranch. Here is an important place to witness plastic pollution between there & Asia. I'm not alone still I reflect on my work at Lake Tahoe & stream restoration throughout the West.
