Incredible show by a phenomenal band! Iress' music keeps getting better with each new release. Their live performance is something special.
There are a lot of good singers in the LA music scene, but it's hard to think of anyone with a voice as beautiful and captivating. Michelle Malley could be singing at Carnegie Hall or the Met. To hear a singer of THIS quality, at a local rock venue, is truly rare and not something you want to miss.
Next time you see Iress on a local music calendar, circle the date and be sure you go see them. A band this talented likely won't be playing at small venues for much longer.
I flew down from Portland, Oregon with my 17-year-old daughter to see this and a Robby Krieger show at another venue. This show was so much fun. The band was in excellent form and it was a dream come true to see and hear Johnny play songs I love so much in-person. He sounded damn good and he was just so cool. I even got to meet him after the show. Another dream come true. Baby Lemonade is the perfect band to carry on Love as they did with Arthur and as they still do with Johnny. The Echo was a great place. Everyone there was friendly and there's not a bad spot in the house for taking in the show. I'll gladly return to The Echo or to see Love as soon as possible. First time attending a show at the Echo, what a great venue, small with a tall stage which is great, good bar and friendly staff. Arde Bogota were simply amazing, the best show I have seen in well over a decade. They had an amazing energy and stage presence. It was an epic night.
Cailin absolutely killed this show and made me wish I could go back in time a week to see her and Daya in San Fran all over again. She really has a unique energy & great at getting the crowd to love and vibe with it. Worked well w the scene, showed respect to her helping talent, and set the stage perfectly for Daya. Hope to see CR again soon!
Max is like a hidden gem. He’s such a sweet guy with an incredible group of team and friends. He performs with such raw emotion and passion and brings such an amazing energy on stage. I can’t wait to see him grow as an artist and see the things he’ll do next and accomplish! Thank you maxi for such an incredible and unforgettable night <3
ive been listening to alejandro since 2019 (not from american idol, his youtube videos just appeared in my feed) and it was such a treat to finally see him live. the atmosphere was so great and supportive, bro was super funny and sincere, and his talent was just a spectacle to marvel at. cannot wait to see him again live, HE’S SO GOOD
We discovered Dizzy a few years back when they were touring with City & Colour. We were absolutely mesmerized. We had difficulty reconciling how we hadn’t heard of them before and why they weren’t massive already. Immediately following that show in San Diego, we bought all of their existing material. From that point forward, we’ve been fanatically hooked; we’ve followed their progress as a band and have clamored at the chance to hear (and buy) more.
Last night, my daughter, her friend and I made the nearly 3 hour drive through pouring rain and crowded highways to a venue in Los Angeles called The Echo. It was a profound moment for all 3 of us - not only to experience that venue for the first time (it’s amazing, btw), but to see one of our favorite bands in the world play a magical set (with meticulous sound crispness and clarity) to an intimate & appreciative crowd who marveled at the talent they were witnessing. I’ve seen a lot of shows through my years, but this was one of the very best yet.
Although their style has evolved over the years, their “Baby Teeth” debut is in my top 5 albums of all time. Every song is pure treasure. And their subsequent material just reiterates how gifted they are as individual musicians, but yet how those gifts somehow become even greater when they’re making music and performing together as a band.
Do yourself (and your ears) a favor . . . go see this band at a small and intimate venue while you still can. The next time they come through town, there’s likely to be a few thousand other humans standing next to you. They’re that good.
Mac played all of his new album completely instrumental then hit us with some of his bigger songs. His band was on point and the mix was incredible. They spunked some classic mac up with a swing jazz sound and we loved it. Couldn’t imagine a better way to see him. It was such an intimate crowd!
The Echo had nice visual lighting for stage performances, the staff were helpful and friendly.
Parking wasn’t difficult to find. I expected to be a restaurant, at least that’s what it used to be.
The sound and acoustics were descent.
Overall all the bands sounded great, especially
Soft Blue Shimmer, compared to their studio stuff, they sounded very raw and just better live!
It was really awesome to see MM@TA live. They even did a free meet & greet. They seem so nice & the music was amazing. The opening acts - Daisy Grenade & Youth Culture were great too. I didn’t want the concert to end. MM@TA’s stage presence was really inviting & they connected with a lot of us.
10/10 performance. I went with a friend on Thursday and went to Horror Nights on Friday. EKKSTACY’s defacates on it easily without a doubt. Universal felt boring and dull and consumeristic in comparison.$ 15 for a EKKSTACY concert ticket vs 10 times that price for being a simulated Hamster in a wheel at Universal Studios Hollywood.

BEST. SHOW. EVER!!!!!!!! Coast Contra knows how to make great music and put on a GREAT show to accompany it. Not only were they amazing, their openers were amazing, too! You can tell they value quality. Shoutout to Solo Jaxon, Villain Park, and Nick Grant. If you’ve never heard their music, do check them out.
As for Coast Contra, I will NEVER miss one of their shows and last night’s show showed me exactly why I shouldn’t. They are the BEST!
The Home Team killed it! Saw them in Fresno and then had to watch again here, highly recommend them. Point north also did an awesome job, so glad I got to catch tan early and the last show. Both bands awesome energy still and definitely not one to miss if you get the chance!
Fantastic show with a truly high-energy band that will rock your world. The Echo is a great little club in Echo Park with great parking just around the corner and a thriving nightlife to grab a bite after the show.

I'm adding the Melvins to my short list of favorite bands. They absolutely killed it. I focused on Steve a lot since I'm a bass player. Steve's someone I would like to emulate. I grabbed my bass and jammed some after the show. I listened to the Melvins a lot today too. I also made a new friend, so that was pretty cool.
On a scale of 1-10, this show was a 100! Band of skulls is always amazing... but I was totally blown away by the opener, BonesUK. Never heard of them before, but I will buy their album the day it comes out!!! They were incredible!
Beer is reasonably priced (for this type of venue), but well drinks are an arm and a leg. (Just be prepared.)
Saw Dreamdecay and Daughters last night. Dreamdecay’s most recent album, YÚ, has been in regular rotation in my playlists ever since I discovered it earlier this year. They did not disappoint live. Daughters on the other hand - while boasting fancy pedal boards and even fancier haircuts - wasn’t interesting enough for me to even stick around for the whole set. I could go on a rant about how this is not really music, and certainly not rock music, and that this whole scene epitomizes what it means to be a poser, but I’ll just leave it at, “Get off my lawn.”
I give 4-stars to the band(s), not the venue. The performance of Uada was outstanding! That club The Echo is a rattle-can, the stage and walls rattle, all the gear of other bands sitting to the side rattles, but they are intense enough to overcome. Wolvhammer, Black Moriah, and Anshelm did great too, but they had to deal with more rattle because they had to deal with more equipment from each band rattling on stage. Its a wonder to me how the dumbshit promoters at Church Of The 8th Day have no notion to have carpet runners to layout for the equipment to sit on off-stage and padded blankets to lay over-top of the the equipment. Anyways, no thanks to the promoter and soundcrew, I'm a fan of all these U.S. Black Metal bands and hope they get better attention at The Echo in the future.
