oh my god. this was my first time seeing TBC in concert and all i’ve got to say is: WOW! words can’t even explain how much fun i had and how amazing of a show they put on. plus they brought my favorite group on tour with them AGAIN as an opener which made it even more special to me. highly HIGHLY recommend a band camino concert for everyone
It was as fantastic as past shows. Outside of the percussionist, I think all the other musicians were new to me. He had a violin and a base playing on all the songs. And he had keyboards, but the coolest thing was a shadow puppet show that was playing on the backdrop throughout the concert. An element of entertainment, but wasn’t too distracting from the music. He sang a bunch of old songs in addition to some new songs off the new album. The old songs that he sang he performed alternate versions. And he had a short session in the middle of the show where it was just him and his guitar. He sang one song that I’ve never heard him sing live before, it is a b side off of a single. Fantastic show as ALWAYS!
Matt Skiba opened the show with a funny improv song about technical difficulties while the crew worked on the sound equipment. They were forced to alter their set list due to the problems, but it was fixed halfway through the set and they were able to play songs off the new album. The way they handled the unexpected difficulties while pulling off an amazing show just proves how talented and genuine they all are. This band respects and appreciates the fans that come to their shows and no doubt are enjoying the success they have worked so hard for while seeing the results of it on everyone's faces screaming their lyrics. I hope they headline a st.louis show again real soon. They always deserve to be the closing act.
Everette was engaging and the performance was incredible! Absolutely on-par with Larry Fleet, whom they opened for! That's NOT to downplay Fleet, who was also outstanding, but to emphasize how good Everette is. I would definitely go see them again. The Pageant has good acoustics and a good layout, in my opinion and limited experience. The option to stand up close to the performers or sit at a table further back (for those who show up in time) helps the venue appeal to a wider audience than other comparable size, local venues only offering mainly standing room only tickets.
Crobot is a lightning bolt on stage trying to find its way to your ear canals and into your heart. This band instantly won me over when I first saw them in May of 2022. Chris Bishop was on fire this night. He furiously bounced picks off his guitar, drum cymbals, etc and caught them in the air and continued to play, spun his guitar around his chest, then jumped off his amp several times. At one point I swore the club owner was going to shoot him with a tranquilizer dart. Now all this frenzied energy would distract attention from all other members of most bands. Listen Sucker! Did you not see I was talking about Crobot?! Dan Ryan punished his drum set like it was talking smack about his mama. While Tim Peugh masterfully dominated his bass all over the stage by the final song his instrument was screaming their safeword. Brandon Yeagley might be the wildest frontman in the business working right now. He has more moves than a Brinks truck and can jump all over the stage like a wild cat let loose of its cage. Speaking of cats I was surprised they didn't play their cover of Janet Jackson's Black Cat. My guess is Gwar begged them not to so the crowd would have some energy left to give them. Highly recommend you check Crobot out the next time they come near your Town, City, or Watering hole.
All i have to say is that all 3 bands were amazing!!! I was only there to see badflower, but des rocs and blood red shoes got a new fan for life too. I loved the energy, how interactive they all were with the crowd. Truly an amazing night, and i cant wait to see des and badflower again at pointfest!
Blue October is amazing live and I would put this in my top 3 concerts. We did the Meet and Greet beforehand and they are so friendly with the fans. Just the meet and greet was packed and then the concert itself was sold out. I will be seeing them again in Kansas City in February.
Really disappointed. We showed up on time 5pm went into the venue to enjoy the VIP session. They rushed us through and told us we all needed to leave and come back after they said that we didn't get scanned in. They told us to hurry and we would be right back in. We left at 7 pm after we we're told it would only be a few minutes then 6:45... it was really a let down. I will be going to KC to see them and maybe Dublin.
The Pageant is a great venue in a great area of St Louis. Lots of shopping and eating options nearby. Blue October didn't disappoint!! 2+hrs of amazing music and story telling. I highly recommend buying a sound check experience ticket along with your admission ticket. It will allow you to enter early and find a great spot close to the action. Blue October continues to surprise and entertain their fans 25yrs later. They are a must-see band!!
This was my fourth BTE show and as always, the band delivered! Excellent show, great set list and amazing time. Also, the Pageant in St. Louis is the best mid sized venue for seeing a concert - not a bad seat (or standing room) in the house! Will continue to see BTE shows in the future as well as shows at the Pageant!
My first concert since before the pandemic started!!Joywave was fantastic as always! Though, I wish more people were there for both bands, cause I was not feeling enough energy from the crowd during Joywave’s set! That’s no fault of the bands though. Also, I’m only a recent iDKHOW enjoyer, so I didn’t know every song of theirs by heart, but I had a great time still! Their energy was great and I had lots of fun! So, why the half star off? Well, what I said earlier about the crowd, but also because I saw AWOLNATION in 2018 at The Pageant, and that show was on another level, with phenomenal audience engagement and a crowd that was more willing to rock out. So this show, while really great, was inevitably gonna be compared to my only other past show I’ve seen at The Pageant. So, yeah, long story short, this was a fantastic show!! The two things I mentioned just brought my rating down a teeny bit. And please go see Joywave if you can (even if it’s not on this tour)! They’re one of my very favorite artists, and I’m proud to say I’ve seen them on every tour they’ve done now. :)
Great concert for a reasonable price in a very nice venue. I have been to previous Pageant concerts and not been impressed by the sound quality. Not so last night. I was sitting on the main floor off to the side of the stage. The sound quality was fantastic. As for Graham, it was like spending an evening with an old friend. Loved the selection of music and the accompanying musicians. Great evening.
Good show. Except it was freezing in the theater. Everyone kept their coats on and I wish I'd brought my hat and gloves in. The server said it was by request of the performers. Odd. Only other complaint is that I would have loved to hear more blues. Tab has become quite the rocker during Covid.
Beth Hart is simply awesome. St Louis concert on 2/12 was unbelievable! It started by getting us warmed up with Quinn Sullivan who is an amazing young star. Then Beth came on and left it all on stage!! You felt her heart and soul in every song, I know she had to be exhausted after sharing so much with us. Thank you, Beth Hart, We loved the show and the venue. Can’t wait to see you again!!
amazing!!! Sun Room is the best opening acts ive ever seen. their energy was so fun and they always made sure everyone was in a good mood. lol they even helped someone look for their kid when the kid was missing in the crowd which is really nice because Ive never met someone who would do that . I usually dont cry during or after concerts but I cried when they left the stage and i cried literally until the last second until louis came out. and I love louie so much but i didnt cry when he left the stage and idk why but I SOBBED the moment they walked off the stage. I met a girl in the pit line and we didnt have signs for them but we made a sign on our phones on snapchat and held up our phones at them. and i dont know if im being delusional but it looked like Luke kept looking at us if u werent oh well lol but all the boys seemed so happy to be there and sing for to us and it felt like their energy kinda spread out on to us because a lot of us were annoyed, tired, and mad bc we had been outside in the cold for so long but in the first 5 minutes of them being on stage all of us were dancing, screaming, singing and having the time of our lives. id do anything to go back to that moment again. I wish they could have stayed on stage for longer than 30 minutes but those were some of the best 30 minutes of my life. I will never forget them and the amount of excitement and happiness they brought me. Gibby, Max, Luke, Ashton please dont ever stop making music because if you ever come back to stl at some point I will be somewhere in that crowd. Thank you for all of the amazing memories and thank you for being a huge part of the best night of my life. *sorry its so long lol* -Elizabeth, Makenna, Hannah, and Evie.
Spent a little too much time playing stuff of the new release instead of the classics. Satchel didnt do his regular solo which also includes him playing the drums. For some reason they have never played The Shocker in St. Louis. Show them play it in Chicago, so not sure why not in st. Louis. Overall, very good show.
this show was amazing!!!!! I hadn't heard of either of the opening acts but they were both very good. I particularly loved boulevards THE STAGE PRESENCE AND ENERGY WAS PHENOMENAL and I looked them up the next day. orville and his band were FRICKING FANTASTIC and surpassed all of my expectations. 10/10 one of the best concerts i've been to and you bet i'll be seeing them whenever they come back again :)
It was mine and my husband's second time seeing Boney James and he was just as phenomenal as the first time we saw him. It was our first time at the Pageant and we were not impressed at all. The venue was really crammed. We barely had room enough to clap our hands and this is not an exaggeration. I don't think we will be attending anymore events at the Pageant.
it was the most amazing concert ive been to. I lost my voice from yelling the songs. Everyone there was super nice. Although me, my cousin, and her mom had gotten VIP tickets my cousin didnt realize the meet and greet was before hand and we left lare because she was having an anxiety attack (she has really bad anxiety to where she doesnt leave the house but left for your concert) we didnt get to meet you because of getting there late and they told us all they could do is get us the signed picture (hanging up on my wall above my bed) and a beanie saying xanarchy + the laminated lanyards saying VIP. they told us that we couldnt meet you. but its okay maybe next time you come we will meet you.
