The Pyramid Scheme

Really fun event!!! I had a great time listening to the band and singing along with everyone, the atmosphere was amazing!! The only thing I would say is to make sure your expectations of being able to sing on the stage aren't too high because I think more than half of the people attending didn't get to sing, including my party, but it was still a fun time. I think some of the issue was also that the way they chose who got to sing was unclear in the event description. I thought there would be a lottery for the songs they played before you got there and then you could choose which one you wanted to sing and see what other people were choosing so it would benefit you to get there early. It ended up being a lot more random than that where you could sign up for one of any of the songs on the playlist but you couldn't see what other people were signing up for and after everyone had put their name in it was a random drawing of songs people signed up for without repeating any songs of course. This system was a little frustrating because they emphasized you had to get there early but it really didn't matter what time you got there as long as the sign ups were still open and they were open for a decent amount of time, and you have no idea how many other people are choosing the same song as you. I understand they probably don't want people choosing a random song they don't know that well but, like most people, I had several songs I would've been excited about singing and t would've been nice to be able to choose a song that I was competing with fewer people for so there was potentially a greater chance to sing.

Fantastic band. All members are masters of their art and each gets the opportunity to shine throughout the performance. They encourage crowd participation and everyone loves to sing along. Can't wait to see them in February!

This band had amazing energy & gave their all to every song. I’m glad I know about them now & look forward to hearing more!

VIAL is awesome live, and this show was incredible. Durry was the main act (and they were great too) but I was there to see VIAL. I drove a little over two hours to see them, and I'd do it again any day. VIALchild! If you get a chance to check them out, you will not be disappointed! I'd never been to the Pyramid Scheme, but I loved the space. he bar's decor was pretty cool, and I really liked the pinball machines. A lot of venues don't put much effort into the opening acts sound check, but VIAL sounded great, so props to the sound folks at the Scheme. The rest of the staff were friendly and professional, especially the doorperson (I'm looking at you, Ray) and the bartender, whose name I, sadly, did not get.

Even in front of a small crowd on a Sunday night, Starcrawler always brings it hard. One of the greatest live bands performing today. I'll never miss a chance to see them. Thanks for a great show!

No problemo! Kicked it off, heart to gold killed it and as always tigers jaw is perfection. Never made a single noise not worthy of tracking.

Kalamazoo represented by Bronson Arm. Austin represented by Porcelain and Chicago represented by monster Pelican. Incredible lineup at the Pyramid Scheme where legends have played. Dragged a*s on Friday to support the great bands.

One of the best shows I've ever been to. All three acts played their hearts out for a packed house whose love only grew stronger as the evening progressed. I went in a fan of one band (Pretoria), and came out a fan of three. All concerts should be so rewarding.

Floppy Drive was a great opener with immaculate vibes. Eroy's Smash mouth opening song was awesome. Manic Focus had everyone vibing so hard & the Flight of the Bumble-key was as impressive as it was surprising. Fantastic show!

Born of Osiris was amazing, and the opening bands were all great! The band members also hung out before and after the show which is always awesome!

Jervis has a great stage presence! His band is super talented. Shout out to my boy James on the base!!! Me and the girlies had the best time! 1000/10 would recommend!

Great live show. All three bands, High Desert Queen, Gozu & Dozer played great. Not many people attended the show but that gave me the opportunity to talk with band members which was awesome.

Incredibly memorable between the pulled fire alarm and Rusty Shackelford. Free Throw puts on such a great show and they sound awesome live too.

What an incredible show! High energy! I don't think there was anyone in the venue who wasn't dancing in some way. You can't help but move to the music. Stellar performances from May and her bandmates, and great sound and volume. I sincerely hope there will be more Motivations shows in the near future. That Slaps!

SO GOOD they are amazing live, had such good energy and were clearly happy to be there and enjoyed the time. Their passion was super evident and they are all so musically talented

Saw them ealier this year at Thalia Hall! Band, opener, venue, staff, and merch/bar experience was wonderful. Only downside (for both of the The Dip concerts I’ve been to) is the audience. Most were just there to drink and socialize, which if that’s your thing I suppose it’s fine, but it always puts a bit of a damper on the event for someone who is there to actually enjoy the music.

I love the band but the sound wasn’t the greatest. I’ve been fortunate to see them many times so I believe that it was a venue issue.

Killed it as always. The sound was phenomenal, the band as a whole had next level energy (especially the guitarist), and over all it was just a pleasant show.

Much better crowd than the last show. Banter was hilarious as always and you can tell they're all close friends just having a blast together. My only complaint is, again, the setlist was >75% stuff off of their new album which wasn't out until the next day and when they did play older songs it was just the same ones I've seen them play each time. When a band is one that benefits from familiarity with the songs due to the complexity, it can be a bit demanding after a few shows of the same. Other than that, 0 complaints!
