really cool venue (a literal driving range) great opener (charlie chronopoulos, another bluegrass band, quite similar to steel drivers) and great audience (steel drivers said we might've been the best they've ever played for lol. energy was fantastic, produced quite well, prices for tickets and food/drink was very reasonable; overall, couldn't have had a better experience and I would go again in a heart beat

I have been begging for the SD's to come to San Diego and finally they did. I have been a fan since 2008. You think we only like surf music? Not true. We love super musicianship and vocals. It was a privilege to get to see and year them at the legendary Belly Up Solana Beach, Ca. Don't stay away. You have a lot of fans here. Once again thank you. Sonny

One of the best live shows I have ever attended. This being the first event of this year for the group, after a long hiatus, the energy was ridiculously high. The opener, Kade Puckett did a fabulous job of kicking things off as well. The venue is a true gem, and tickets were very reasonably priced for a name act with this large a following. I can't wait for Leo Kottke next month!

The show was great. The SteelDrivers are always the best. As far as the Caverns review is concerned, I have to lower the score. Had problems with getting a good view of the stage due to level floor chair placement. Security was another matter. One way in and one way out. Noticed some armed guards walking around, but did not feel secure. Going through weapons check was another matter. My partner had to leave her purse because we did not know about the metal detectors. Being a first time visitor is not a good experience.

I’ve been to several of the SteelDrivers concerts. Everyone exceeds the first one. It’s beautiful, beautiful musicians atmosphere could not have been better for the theater. The best. The folks are so nice there at the theater. The performers just outdid themselves as always loved it. We’ll go again just as soon as I can

The Steeldrivers are awesome, no doubt about it. They are some of the most talented artists and performers in Nashville. I had seen them 5 times in smaller venues in Nashville, Austin, and The Cavern (the best) before this show at Billy Bob's. So I admit, I've been somewhat spoiled when it comes to the sound quality. But the sound quality at Billy Bob's was by far the worse I had ever experienced at a music venue. We were seated on the left side (facing the stage), in the second row of tables (B4), and the sound was a mashed up mix of mid-range sounds and all the vocals were muffled, however the center area directly in front of the stage was much better. There was also feedback on the lead vocalists mic numerous times. It did all get better during the last 20 minutes of the show which means they were trying to make it better. It was the first time the Steeldrivers had ever placed at Billybobs as a group, and Billy Bob's must be a difficult place for acoustics. So I just think it took a while for the sound crew to get it right. It sounded great toward the end. The Steeldrivers will always be a 5 star performance no matter how crappy the sound quality is.

Sold Out Show at the Strand Theatre in Pontiac. 1) First, I had no idea this venue even existed before buying tickets to this show. This is a wonderful then you. Multiple levels, and great sound. 2) A great show by the band. I believe they were truly surprised by the size of the crowd and how into it everyone was. They really seem like they were enjoying themselves on stage tonight 3) a quick hat tip to the opening act, the Ben Daniels band. I was unfamiliar with their music, but they left it all on stage. I will make a trip to see them again 4) This was my first SteelDrivers show, and won't be my last. I'm looking forward to them to making their way back to Michigan. Thank you for a wonderful show!

One of the best concerts we’ve attended in a long time. The music and singing were excellent. They played hard for an hour and a half without a break and then came back for an encore. Awesome band - awesome show - so much energy in that room. Please come back to Lynchburg, VA!!!

Great show! Great energy! Great venue to see the SteelDrivers. The show was top notch and we could not have asked for anything more from this group of musicians. We saw CAAMP in Portland, Maine the night before and the SteelDrivers blew them out of the water!

I bought my tickets for 2020 and that show was cancelled. Fast forward to now, the venue gave me better seats than I originally had! Point of the Bluff is a gorgeous place , acoustics were perfect. The SteelDrivers put on an amazing show! Wonderful music, great stories, Incredible vibe.

The SteelDrivers: 8/11/22 “Driving to my favorite all-around music venue Miller Theater in Augusta GA, being a bluegrass novice I anticipated a rather challenging concert rundown to ensue. I resolved in mind that I would keep it simple at best. With Member COMP tix’s in hand I made my way to row 10 center orchestra for what would turn out to be a unique event of sorts. After all, the band from Nashville which had originally featured Chris Stapleton as lead singer could not be too shabby for all practical purposes. Gary my usher had informed me that the crowd would be rather small with about 400 of the 1,300 tickets sold. By showtime more ‘Steelheads’ showed up giving the stage level seating a healthy appearance. The stage featured 5 bar stools and L to R banjo, mandolin, fiddle, upright bass, and guitar each mic’ed, and monitored individually. The backdrop featured the ‘Bad For You’ album logo, a blue heart with a spike through it with wording in gold banners. The band had Facebook Lived the previous evening from the Grand Ole Opry mentioning the Georgia show, ‘Were gonna be doggin’ it since we’re doing the Opry tonight.’ Doggin was anything but, SD delivering an energetic 20 song set tellin’ stories and trading licks. With Stapleton long gone founding member Tammy Rogers (fiddle) was clearly in charge. ‘You’re not gonna hear ‘Wagon Wheel’, ‘Rocky Top’ or ‘Freebird’, Rogers commented, one fan calling out to play Freebird from Orchestra Left. ‘We love to hear you sing as long as it’s the same song we’re playing!’ Matt Dame on vocals replacing Kevin Damrell just one year ago showed out with strong and confident vocals. I had not been aware of the change but knew the vocals did not match the recent albums, and when I closed my eyes ‘in the style of Travis Tritt’ was what I heard! The Driver’s clearly know how to have fun on stage. The band never sat on the barstools which doubled for bar tables all evening long: Tammy drinking wine in a glass, Michael on bass with a longneck, the other three with red solo cups. There were bottled waters provided on stage that were never opened. Their roadie never swapped out a simple instrument, he simply walked out between songs and replenished the drinks. The harmonies during ‘Midnight Tears’ and ‘Peacemaker’ were an absolute audio pleasure. There was self-described ‘cajun-grass’ rendition of ‘Glad I’m Gone’ bringing out smiles from both the performers and audience members. A surprise of the evening was the opener, ‘Granville Automatic’ branded as country but with a definite lean toward Americana. Vocals, guitar and tambourine were all the Nashville duo of Vanessa and Elizabeth needed to win over the audience. Granville who have written songs for both Billy Currington and Sugarland (clearly intelligent lyricists) featured all their own songs, a number on the subject matter of Nashville’s lost history. A highlight of the evening was meeting the band afterward and chatting about Vanessa’s recent trip to Paris and their upcoming performance in Walhalla!” by DAve (Concert #685)

Great show!!!! Our group really enjoyed Troubadour Blue for a great start. The Steeldrivers delivered an excellent performance with lots of energy and personality! Vocals and harmonies were spot on and as usual,the musicians were so fun to watch!!!Ifyou have a chance you need to see them.

Absolutely a beautiful show. The Blue Gate Center is an incredible venue for any show. The newly remodeled center is beautiful. The sound was great, the giant screens on the sides of the stage is perfect for those on the sides. As always, The Steeldrivers had a excellent show, and it gets better each show. Thank you to Brent, Tammy, Richard, Mike and Matt.

They were fantastic, as always! I’ve seen them once before. In this venue, it was so hot outside that I don’t know how they withstood it. They put on a great show. It never fails to impress me just how beautiful their musicianship is….they are just a pleasure. The harmonies are wonderful…and there can’t be enough said about the songs….the songwriting is unparalleled in my opinion.

Awesome performance by the Steeldrivers as always. One the best modern bluegrass bands to come along. New Lead Singer and guitarist Matt Dame fits the Steelhead mold perfectly. Chris Stapleton better watch his back. Matt could follow in his footsteps. Tammy Rogers and the rest of the band are amazing in everything they contribute to the unique sound that is the Steeldrivers. Opening band Troubadour Blue is an up and coming young trio that is produced by Tammy Rogers and it shows in their polished performance and witty candor. The crowd was very impressed with Troubadour Blue. Great time at an awesome pure music venue — the 04 Center.

Great show. Didn't think there was any way that this set could be any better than fall on Atlanta--and musically, it wasn't quite--but it was such great set. Definitely the best live band in bluegrass and puts on a better show than most rock acts. If they come to your town, get there.

Extremely talented musicians. I’m a road guy on stage as a back line tech and this was some of the best front of house sound I’ve heard in a while. Apparently the soundman has been with them for years. Glad they have him. Capital theater had a great system for Bluegrass and it sounded fantastic.

One day in 2008 I wandered into the Station Inn Nashville prompted only by a hand-hewn sign that I saw in the window during an afternoon walk "Steeldrivers Tonight." Intrigued, I returned that night for the start of a musical journey now more than a decade in the making. What I experienced that night was the start of an obsession with creative evolution of a band. What I experienced last night at The Capitol Theatre in Clearwater was affirmation that I made a good choice so many years ago. This band continues to delight! Don't miss them when they come around!

Loved it, loved it, loved it. It took half the set but we finally got that staunchy crowd clappin! Standing ovation and when they came back on stage the crowd had to be told to sit down. That's a testament, lol. Think they made some die hard Steelheads last night.
