Amanda & James Biography
Recently nominated for Group or Duo of the Year at the Country Music Association of Ontario Awards, duo Amanda & James are turning heads with their killer harmonies, honest lyrics, and undeniable vocal chemistry. Whether they’re revving up the crowd or breaking hearts with a ballad, these two know how to put on a show.
Their first collaboration came in 2021 with the duet “We’re Okay,” followed by the upbeat ear-worm “Another Round.” They followed that up with a bold, country cover of “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life” that had crowds singing along from the first note. Now, they’re showing their softer side with “Two Wrongs Don’t Make a Right”— a soulful duet about heartbreak and healing, and the human need to feel something - even if it’s just for one night. It drops May 23, and it’s their most vulnerable track yet.
Before teaming up, Amanda Kind and James Downham had successful solo careers. Amanda’s powerhouse vocals landed her a #1 on SiriusXM with “Slow Dance,” while James made a name for himself with fan-favourites like “Wine & Whiskey.”
Whether you catch them live or on your favourite playlist, Amanda & James are set to make 2025 their most exciting year yet with new music and more live shows than ever before.
