About this concert
A diverse, vibrant jazz festival, celebrating ground-breaking, innovative UK music alongside international trailblazers. Held in Moseley Park, a stunning 11-acre woodland glade in the heart of Moseley Village. Although it’s just 2 miles from the centre of Birmingham it is a world away from city life. It is the perfect setting for a Birmingham festival, with sloping grounds, creating a natural amphitheatre in front of the beautiful lake. One of the best locations for a UK Festival.

Ezra Collective Biography

Hailed as the pioneers of bringing jazz to the modern UK music scene, Mercury Prize 2023 winners Ezra Collective continue to light up sweaty dance floors and soundtrack dinner parties in equal measure with their music. Their second album - Where I’m Meant To Be - is a thumping celebration of life, an affirming elevation in the group’s winding hybrid sound and refined collective character. The album’s tracks marry cool confidence with bright energy. Full of call-and-response conversations between their ensemble parts, a natural product of years of improvising together on-stage, the album also features Sampa The Great, Kojey Radical, Emile Sandé, Steve McQueen, and Nao.

Ezra Collective is:
Femi Koleoso - Drums
TJ Koleoso - Bass
Joe Armon-Jones - Keys
James Mollison - Saxophone
Ife Ogunjobi - Trumpet (edited)
