Impulse bought resale ticket on afternoon of the gig. Only knew one of their songs so bit of a gamble. But they were fantastic and so was the audience. Only recently started going to live music after a break for decades. Now sixty something and loving it. London Grammar, English Teacher and Fontaine DC coming up
Awesome show. They were brilliant in what was a shorter show than the rest of the tour..20 songs. Also played slightly faster to get all the songs in. Lowlives were supporting. Not heard of them but really good rock songs. Would have given the show 10/10 but I'm greedy and wanted more tunes.
Amazing show, always loved Corey. I’d bought the VIP package which inc a picture with the band on stage but was told we wouldn’t be getting that, £200+ pounds on a ticket to inc meeting the band for it to not happen…bit of a let down. Nonetheless, Corey still put on such a great performance, got some great videos and pictures, so glad I can say i’ve seen him.
It was my first metal gig... At 61 and an avid concert goer I have never been to a metal gig... OMG this wasn't just a gig this was an AWESOME experience... From start to finish The Hu had the crowd in the palm of their hands... I headbanged all night along with the rest... We had a mosh pit and a conga line going... The band were on fire... I would go back to see them in a heartbeat...
Amazing gig however far too many people on the standing area. I couldn’t lift my arms to clap due to being wedged so close and was pressed against the bannister behind me the entire night which was very uncomfortable. Also there were way too many people who were seriously drunk and/or drugged and were always on the verge of a fight.
Regardless of that Kip Moore and his band were spectacular and I thoroughly enjoyed their performance despite being uncomfortable all night.
The show was absolutely outstanding , everything was perfect from the venue, the security and staff and Joe and the band were on fire especially Satriani.
My only gripe is Satriani could have been a bit more fan friendly at the end of the show as a hand full of fans waited patiently to meet him and we got blanked.
None the less I got superb value for money and it was worth the 3 year wait.
Gig was far over what I expected.
After the Rap of the Titans experience, I expected a classical Rap music gig which might even be sadder when Truy the Dove passed away. Even when De La came on the stage, there was no Maze, so I realised only 1/3 of De La arrived, which was a little disappointing.
But when I saw the Live band coming on the stage and Mos Def joined the whole crew, I got absolutely astonished by what I saw and heard. A real celebration of over 34 years of the De La Soul band and a great celebration of 50 years of Hip-Hop.
Once more and forever, love to Trugoy the Dove and all De La band.
Most perfect night, I’ve been to a few concerts and by far this has been my fav, was really good at getting the crowd going and up for a dance, supper acts were both truly amazing. Best thing for me! Was Mimi sounded exactly like she does on her music, which a lot of acts now do not!
Concert was outstanding, Daughtry rocks, and if I could I would’ve been at the remaining concerts of the UK tour.
Only issue I had was accessibility. I walk with 2 crutches as I can’t walk or stand for long and I had to painfully go up and down stairs to the seating area and more stairs for the toilet. Also, I didn’t get the chance to go to the merchandise stall, I would’ve loved a tour t-shirt.
First of all the O2 Academy Glasgow is not the best for punters! Cram as many people in, charge ridiculous money for drinks and don't offer decent toilet facilities for 2000 punters. Enough said!
Now the review...WASP were fantastic. Blackie, Doug, Mike and Aquiles are amazing.
Blackie's voice is still the best ever. Supported by his incredible band, the music of WASP is superb. Everyone who see and hear WASP know they have witnessed something very special.
Long live W.A.S.P.
Wasp should be on the iron maiden tour as their the Greatest band in the world plain and simple if you like your music non manufactured shame about the venue O2 Glasgow needs pulled down and rebuilt as it’s a nasty run down stinky venue a disgrace to be an O2 venue
Havent been for awhile to concert as great as this. U see these kinda in outside big arenas. When all audience start singing together. And hype is there. What els can u expect from W.A.S.P.
Blackie hasnt lost his voice even with age. And all hos band was fantastic.
SOUTH OF SALEM - the same can be sayed about them. Great performance. Interaction with audience.
Unreal night at All Time Low, the o2 staff were quick to get our tickets scanned to get us in out the rain, bar service was super quick too.
All time low were incredible, Alex was so aware that he was losing his voice and you truly couldn’t tell. An incredible set from the boys and I can’t wait for the next tour already
Brett Young was great however act previous to him you couldn’t actually make out what she was singing it was as if the band was much louder than the artist. The 02 venue is not well laid out for toilets etc trying to push through to get to a bathroom when it was packed was not fun not to mention people going in and out the fire exit constantly then security saying no then they were allowed it was constant all night ruined the experience a bit but the actual person we paid to see was great the rest not so much.
The band was sensational. The overall sound was electrifying from start to finish. Derek's tone and expressiveness are unmatched. Susan's voice is sublime. Mike Mattison absolutely rocked too on the songs he led. Every member of the band, in fact, is a virtuoso and it was wonderful to see the backing singers and instrumentalists get their moments to shine too. A stunning two hours of the highest quality live performances you could hope to experience from a band who were as tight as they were creative and energised. It was an honour and privilege to be in the room. But I'm still going to complain. The band took the stage at 8pm, with no support act preceding them, a trend that's becoming increasingly prevalent at gigs these days. Still it caught me out and I missed the first 20 minutes of the gig. The venue had oversold the balcony tickets and I didn't get the seat I'd paid for. I'm getting too old to stand for 2 and a half hours (the band took a 30 minute intermission) and was looking forward to enjoying the gig in a seat. Lastly, the band refused to play Midnight in Harlem, despite the crowd pleading for it throughout the gig. That seemed churlish given that they might not be back in Scotland any time soon and the audience clearly wanted to have the opportunity to hear that iconic song live. I was certainly very excited about that prospect. There should have been nothing but elation in the air walking out at the end of a set from such outstanding musicians. Denying us our chance to hear that timeless song live created an unnecessary feeling of confusion and disappointment. Still can't fathom why they did that.
What a great night! Supports were great but then on came THE MAN. Michael.
The huge sound and detailed vocals of the two backing singers absolutely blew me away. Superb bass, drums, keyboard and lead guitar surrounded MKs soulful voice and acoustic guitar. Last two tracks brought tears to my eyes and a huge grin. Ended too quickly for me though😭
Outstanding show, daughters 3rd gig, 1st in standing area for full immersion. Needless to say she/they sang their heart out and felt every emotion. I had to stand a bit away 🙂 as I was " in her space". I stood within radar distance to let her enjoy fully and looked over at one point to see my baby girl had become her own young adult with her own personality and identity , and given the occasion, the company of the crowd and the unabashed openness of the emotions, I cried a little with happiness. Good truthful music performed and shared will touch you like that and allow emotions to come forth. For that I thank LP, the band and the crowd.
It was a fantastic show, the crowd knew every word and sang loudly and LP fed off the crowd who fed off her.
After show she took time at the stagedoor for photos, signing and chatting and made an already memorable night a treasured memory. My Morgan got her shirt and an autograph along with a photo, I think it is safe to say an 11yr olds night/year,life was made. I've seen a lot of gigs in my 40yrs of going, across most genres but I've never seen the genuine love you have for your fans,they/we ,genuinely love you and its glaringly obvious its returned.
Anyway from a father, thank you for the music and sharing and an infinite heartfelt thank you for what you gave my child. Hurry back x
Thoroughly enjoyed the show, from beginning to end. I'm a wheelchair user and had a reserved space for myself and the person wth me. We had a great view and a great night. Not only that, I was amazed at how fantastic the staff at o2 Academy Glasgow were. From the moment I got wheeled out of the taxi, they were there to help. Nothing was a problem to them and they were all really friendly. One of them even came to check that I was getting on ok with my taxi booking home, offering to get me across the road if it made access to the taxi easier. Thank you, Michael Kiwanuka, his backing singers and band, his support acts and the o2 Academy staff.

The show was excellent as Fish gigs always are. The only thing that spoiled it was that my hip went and I didn't have my walking sticks with me' Luckily, a member of the o2 staff helped me up to the disabled area with my wife and even carried my beer for me so 10/10 for the staff.
We settled down to watch the rest of the gig from the balcony which was a bit further away than I'm used to but on the upside I turned around from my seat and Fish's Wife Simone was sitting there and she couldn't have been nicer. All in all a great performance by Fish and the crew and one I will never forget.
Thanks Fish, you made my Wife and I very happy and I made a few new friends while I was there.
Finally I would like to thank the o2 staff for all their help and understanding.
