Fun evening.

South For Winter was great; different, but with top-notch musicianship and great vocals. What was lacking was the venue and the sound mix/system. The room is all hard surfaces, which does not make for great acoustics. Too many reflective surfaces muddied up the sound. The sound board was manned by volunteers from the venue who allowed the vocals to get lost behind the instruments. A tough place to do a good sound mix, certainly, but still a little disappointing on that end.

Unique venue. Modeled after what it would be likely to be inside Noah's Ark(without the animal smells). Cool acoustics and friendly staff. Vivid lighting which really helped the energy on the stage sparkle. A full set from each co-headliner plus a room silencing acoustic encore, yet it always goes by so fast.
