I have been a 10cc fan since before Eric Stewart, Lol Creme, Kevin Godley and Graham Gouldman formed 10cc in 1972. They were session musicians at Strawberry Studios in Stockport, Manchester.
It was Neil Sedaka who told them that they should form a real group.
Anyhow, the 10cc concert in Downtown Los Angeles at the old Alex Theatre was a smashing success. Graham Gouldman served the night well, His bass and guitar playing were solid. The singing and musicianship were stellar. Rick Fenn's guitar playing was on par with David Gilmour of Pink Floyd, If you are a 10cc fan and missed this concert. Then you should kick yourself! It was Fan-Bloody-Tastic!
Cheers,

Superb. Great singing and musicianship . Ms. Giddens has a great voice, a penchant for resurrecting old tunes, a fount of information on racial music history and a great band. It did not hurt that the great Tai Mahal showed up for a few tunes that rocked the house. Charly Lowry opened the show with just hand drum and bones, and a fine strong voice. Definitely worth following her career.
A great uplifting show. Go See Ms. Giddens. SheworShe is more than worth your time.
In delicate remembrance of brothas James Baldwins memory and legacy as a freedom fighter Meshell Ndegeocello and her ensemble's performance was both viscerally and intellectually triumphant! I've wanted to see this beautifully awesome Blackwoman and her sonically soothing but furious talent unleashed live for many years now and the dear sistah did not disappoint! Treat yourself / loved ones to something splendid and just go. Just go.
An absolutely beautiful & amazing experience. This was music, art, poetry, conversation, and
family combined. Sooo glad I was there. It was more than I expected and she always gives of
herself i a different way each time see her. Thank you Me'Shell!!
Such an uplifting and inspiring experience. Meshell and her incredible band of poets and musicians brought something much more intimate than many may have expected. We left empowered and at peace knowing that they managed to bring us together on a spiritual level. 🙌🏾
I have seen him perform three times and this time was my favorite! Andy Grammar gives me all the feels and puts on such a great show. His music has been a guiding light for me though some really dark times and an anthem for some of the more joyful moments in life. Thanks Andy!! 💛
So grateful for the show! Had a blast singing along and dancing throughout the night. This is my 2nd Andy Grammer show by myself and I look forward for more. Just good vibes the entire time. Thank you Andy and the entire band!
I can give no higher rating than my brother's response ... a life-long fan who has been waiting decades for the Cult to play their original Death Cult and Southern Death Cult material live, my brother was literally blown away by the band, who were in peak form on the night. Ian's voice and Billy's guitar were unfettered by the passage of time, and they both seemed to draw immense energy from the LA crowd, who were lucky enough to be in the only North American venue to host the special performance. Openers Cold Cave were also incredible. Atmosphere and sound at the ACE were again top notch.
I've seen L&R many times over the years. They could easy play 3+ hours with all solid songs. I understand the time constraints, but I was happy with what was picked. I could be here all day wishing they played this or that, but in the moment, I was singing and dancing along with everything. Please tour more (and that includes Poptone).
The venue is cool with great acoustics. The Mavericks are AMAZING. One of the best shows I've ever seen. It's rare to see that level of energy, talent and musicianship. Don't miss The Mavericks when they come to town.
Wow! Last night’s concert did not disappoint! From the minute you stepped into the restored United Artists Theater at the Ace Hotel you were nostalgically transported back to the days when the old time movie palaces ruled; the smell of popcorn hits you as soon as you enter and I was taken back to my childhood growing up in East Los Angeles, and to when my parents would take us into downtown to see a movie at theaters like this, some of which harken back to the 20’s and 30’s.
I loved JD McPherson’s set; his wry lyrical take on Christmas is some of the best I’ve heard, and his musicianship kept the place rocking and rolling throughout.
Of course, The Mavericks were on point, as usual!
Raul’s voice, considering this was the last stop of the tour until the New Year, was as fresh and vibrant as ever.
“Come Unto Me” was hypnotic and trance-inducing; the spell was broken and people rose to their feet to dance when the opening strums of “Dance in The Moonlight” were heard, and the band stirred the audience to a frenzy with their signature closing song “All You Ever Do Is Bring Me Down”, which brought the house down!
And, if that was enough to whip up your appetite for a post-show snack, as soon as the doors opened to let people out, you were greeted by the smell of peppers and onions as sidewalk vendors sold the inimitable Mexican hotdogs right outside the venue! A wonderful Holiday treat for myself, my wife, my sister and her hubby! Hey! Merry Christmas!!
Always excellent vocals and tight musical backup by the band. Horns, keyboard, drums all were spot on. Also enjoyed the dancer who made an appearance on a couple of tunes. Ace theater had good sound system and clean facilities.
The whole night was like a dream. Charlie has been my absolute favorite artist for years and this was the first time I got to see him perform live… he was even more incredible than I imagined. He’s SO talented. I love him. The show was amazing—the songs, the band, the lighting, the audience energy… everything about the night was amazing. LOVED attending the sound check too. <3
The concert was amazing!! Travis is such a solid, incredible, amazing band!! It was the kind of concert you live for. I had the VIP pass so I was able to meet the band which was a dream come true. They are such good people who care about their fans. I love Travis forever!!

See the next concert in LA. A fan a frankie ♏ ♥️ ♒
(still heart searching a mail box :P) I like getting things to say, things to feel. P.S. Nobody Else
Simply an Amazing Experience....This acoustic show was “The Show” that Fans had been waiting for! The theatre was beautiful, set-list was on-point, and Rise sounded superb....establishing the perfect atmosphere for this Goosebumps performance. Well worth the flight from Seattle to experience this!
The guys were amazing. They hit all the notes exceptionally well. A Must See Band. The new version of the JBs. The guys are also so laid back and approachable was very fortunate to be to be able to chill and talk with a few of them after the show at the rooftop bar. Yes they hung out at the bar after the show. Macy Gray and Big Freida also did an amazing job. A really great encore surprise: Talib Kweli came out and did a song with the band. Dope venue dope show! Would definitely attend another show at the Ace theatre and will DEFINITELY see the Soul Rebels as many times as I possibly can.
Brilliant, beautiful, moving night of great music, poetic lyrics, good humor and palpable camaraderie between the artist, his band of amazing musicians (sons of Willie Nelson and Merl Haggard’s included) and the audience. Surprised appearance by Tanya Tucker, Dennis Quaid and Marilyn Manson on stage. Nobody wanted for the night to end.
Brought my girlfriend to see Regina for a second time and was blown away again. I was a passive fan over ten years ago and had not thought of her since, until meeting my girlfriend a few years ago. I do not listen to her albums, ever, but I will always pay any price to see her live. She is an incredible talent and it is worth every penny to see her live.
