It was a great concert. My oldest child and I drove down to Tucson from Phoenix for this concert. It was our 3rd Fall Out Boy concert in 4 years.
The show was a trip down memory lane and overall was a lot of fun. The show was definitely not at the TCC and definitely not at 7pm. Inaccurate info there. But they played all the hits and Rober Mason is an excellent singer!! Oh, and it was free. All the better!! Happy New Year 🎊 ✨️ 🎉 🎆
Atreyu, INK and BVB absolutely killed!!! All are going to be added to the must see list of bands. Sucks MiW couldn't play, sucks more when they drop that they were all in the back and couldn't even come out for a word or to say hi to the crowd...
Was my second time seeing Ghost in 6 months and I’ve been following the band since their inception and am proud to see them go from dive bars to selling out arenas and to stadiums is phenomenal
Motionless in White canceled last minute since the singer was sick. My only other complaint was the sets weren’t long enough. Love BVB and 40 minutes just wasn’t enough!! 🖤
It was great! INK really KILLED it, but I was really bummed that Motionless in White cancelled as they’re my favorite band right now. I didn’t find out they weren’t playing until I was already in the line to get in. Will definitely be seeing them when they return, but it was a great show anyway.
Ghost is an amazing band to see live. I’ve seen them 5 times now. Great performance always.
They are one band I would drive to see anywhere!!!! I’m a life long fan! Love me some Ghost.
Although the venue sucked. Waited a hour and a half to even get in venue. We were there before doors officially opened. Doors were opened later than what they were advertised to be. One merch booth in a tiny hallway created so much body heat you were sweating. No air. As a concert goer I wouldn’t go back to that venue. I missed both opening bands just waiting to even do anything inside the venue. We had to buy water inside and I asked for cold water and they proceeded to give us hot bottled water. Add almost 5 dollars a bottle I expected to be cold.
“Hello Tucson, Arizonia!”
🤣
GHOST was absolutely amazing, as always! The crowd was great, just a big, friendly Satanic Singalong.
The venue, however, was horrid! Absolutely unprofessional and disorganized. The VIP experience was like a cattle roundup run by kindergartners. The staff themselves were mostly friendly, but nobody had a clue what was going on. Everything was late.
By the time we got to the meet and greet room, everyone was excited, but totally frazzled. And when we got to have our moment with Papa, I was actually shocked at how they were treating our beloved! There he was in all of his glorious vestments, in this stuffy little room with no air flow. I felt so bad for him! I wanted to dab his brow and fan him… I was so caught off-guard I didn’t even introduce myself! So rude of me… Grrrr
By the time we got out, Mastodon was almost done playing. Unbelievable.
But Papa and his Ghouls gave us an Epic performance! Thank you always for GHOST.
♥️If you have GHOST, you have everything ♥️
Ghost is the most amazing band. Great stage show ever! The only thing I would say about the venue is that they let people in too late. Not enough time to find seats and get drink and merchandise before first band went on
Spiritbox opened - first time I hear this band. Solid and definitively will keep track of.
Mastodon followed and I have to say the sound mix for them was a total mess, not sure if this is the way they carry it everywhere but at the TCC it was just a jumbled mess of bass drum, bad mic for Troy spaghetti harsh guitars (both) and was there a keyboard? I could see the guy but he could have not been even plugged in!. The only song I enjoyed was Teardrinker from their latest album (sung by Brann) - did he get a special microphone or what?. Again, this might not be on the band, maybe they came up well on their in-ear monitors, but on the venue's PA it was tiring, confused and... boring. Spiritbox before them had a great audio mix by the way. Go figure.
But Ghost was at another level. The very well picked set list covered both new and classic stuff, I was pleased to witness the duel and the eponymous Cirice. Pyrotechnics, sound, stage presence, showmanship... all delivered by the band beyond expectations. Missed Ghost on their tour first round this year in Phoenix and am damn glad they stopped by The Old Pueblo this time around. Miasma was as it has been always a high point of the show... then the end of the gig came up, sadly - felt too short but as it is said "time flies when you got Ghost". Will make sure to catch them again their next tour.
As far as the venue goes... opened up late, not much info on doors opening time, a bit disorganized on the info being passed on those of us on the waiting line - was there since an hour before the announced 6pm doors open time. Tucson's climate does not help, venue could have furnished at least some fans outside to create the illusion of a breeze - all in all I was two hours standing outside the Arena until things got moving.
I have been to many concerts in my day, and this was the best show I ever saw,!!! Ghost is amazing, and they gave us their all... it's obvious they love and appreciate their fans. I just adore this band!
Ghost, Mastodon, and Spirit Box were all awesome! All 3 bands performed fantastically. The venue on the other hand sucked! Doors opened an hour late because they were not prepared. Because of this, people who showed up well in advance of doors opening couldn't even get inside before their set started. Merch booth and zero line structure and was basically a free for all. Lastly, we waited in line for 20 minutes to get 2 beers.
I can't wait to see Ghost the next time around, I just hope they are not at the Tucson convention center.
Spiritbox put on a great show. The only thing was that it was so dark on stage you could hardly see them. But it wasn’t them that did that because Mastadon was the same way.
Amazing!!! So much fun!!! I had a blast and everyone there was so awesome and nice. It was my second time seeing Ghost. Didn’t think they could be better than the first time but, they definitely were!!! The only issue I had was the seats that I had purchased were way too small and I had to move to a different seat. No worries though. We still had an amazing time and will never miss another opportunity to see Ghost again. So freaking awesome!!!
The concert itself was great but the venue was so unorganized. Everything was delayed over an hour with no explanation and VIP was made to feel like a burden and rushed along the whole day. For the amount of money paid it should have been fun
The show was awesome and 10× better than March in Phoenix. Ghosts stage presence and showmanship is a must see! Mastodon murdered and what we seen of Spiritbox was amazing The only issue was with the venue, we got here 40 minutes before the doors were supposed to open just to learn they pushed the doors 30 minutes late and still ran 15 minutes late. We missed half of Spiritbox's set because of this. So we waited an hour and a half for the line to start moving and another 40 to even get inside and missed most of the openers setlist who we were excited to see.
Wish I could have snapped a pic or two being so close (Row A) but it also forced me to be in the moment and just enjoy the show...
The Mellencamp Show was AMAZING!!!
I love my boys. Been a loyal and true fan since 2005 and still going strong! Also from he Chicago area so I feel connected to them in a special hometown way.
This was my 4th FOB concert and closest I’ve been to the stage. Incredibly happy and pleased and can’t wait to go back and see these dudes again!!!
