Really fun and energetic show! They played a nice variety of songs from their older releases to the new ones. Would highly recommend seeing them live :)
Hannah Wicklund put on an amazing performance showcasing incredible guitar skills and powerhouse vocals. I’ve been looking forward to seeing her album The Prize performed live for so long and it was absolutely worth the wait and I hope to see her again in the future. Club Cafe provided a nice intimate setting for the show.
The comedians were great, only complaint is that the venue didn't provide enough seating for the audience which led to our tables view of the stage being instructed requiring all of us to stand as well
Great band, great sound, and entertaining as always… a great night! These guys are under-recognized, meaning that you can see a great band up close and even have a chat with them after the show.
Super small venue- but great staff and bartenders. Little Stranger (and Damn Skippy & Jarv) KILLED it! So much energy and fun. Can’t wait to see them again!
This show was unique and fantastic--and if you are wavering on buying tickets, I would argue you did not need to know their music either. You should because they are great, but it was the kind of show you will love if you love story telling and serious emotional connections in your music, even without knowing the music.
The world needs a new guitar hero...and it should be Greg! But can we keep him our little secret until we get one more small, intimate show like this one?! Totally killed at Club Cafe in Pittsburgh...his first time in town! His band is absolutely stunning, and Greg lets them step out and show their chops. Greg is funny, a hell of a nice guy (hung out until everyone left), and so talented in many styles and genres. Please come back, Greg...before you get super huge!
Scott Dan and Sean the King Buffalo. Thank you for a wonderful evening. Nice small venue was up close and awe struck. If you know you know if you stumbled here, check this band out. Well crafted music and and performances. I recommend seeing multiple shows as no to nights are the same. This was the second night of 2 at Club Cafe and my second show [saw opening night at the Grog Shop] The sets are 10 or 11 songs each night and no two days are the same. I got 3 songs that I did not hear in Cleveland. And after checking the setlist for Club Cafe for the previous night. Wow only 3 repeats over the 2 days.[highly recommend back to back shows if they play 2 nights in your city.] They mixed 21 songs into the sets in the first half of the US winter tour.
First time to Pittsburgh. First time to see King Buffalo. Loved the setting. Met a couple of the band members after. Lume is really good too. Can't wait for the next time.
Too short but perfection! Great venue. Crowd was into it. The band was firing on all cylinders!!!! Had a great time!
Kelsey and her band always put on a great show. Fantastic songwriting, fantastic musicianship, and fantastic live execution. Definitely make a point to see her show if you get a chance.
Third time seeing thus crew pay this year (Grand Rapids in August, Hamtramck in October and this time in Pittsburgh). Mustard Plug just doesn't disappoint. Great, upbeat fun show. Simply smiling throughout their set. And the volume in Pittsburgh was perfect (unlike at Smalls in Hamtramck where I had buzzing in my ears for 3 straight days following their performance).
Yeah, I think I've turned into a 58 year old Mustard Plug groupie. (and proud of it).
The special sound check through the Sawyer Fredericks Patreon program was pretty cool. Sound system sounded just right. The staff was laid back and professional at the same time, which is a rare combo.
The seats were comfy and the audience was appreciatively responsive. I'd go back again.
The Venue was good, Small and personable sound was good and Parker & band were great.
I came from Akron I hope he comes to northeast Ohio. Would travel again for his show.
All three bands on this lineup were amazing. Holy Fawn killed it and were super super cool about kicking it after the show.
Great show! Both Chris Knight and Jason Eady were fantastic and the Club Cafe is without question my favorite Western PA venue!
Very intimate setting for a mesmerizing, talented, singer-songwriter-guitarist. I had such a good time and want Keith Harkin back in Pittsburgh in Fall 2022.
The Dead End Streets opened the show with a very strong, but only a brief 40 minute set. Bill Toms & Hard Rain then took over with an AWESOME (as usual) longer set that featured the Soulville Horns. Overall, a very entertaining show of 2 bands performing a collection of some of their best original material.
Fantastic show! One of my favorite bands! Great venue overall, although we all wished there wasn't a late show causing us to all be rushed out.
sound guy was horrible. vocals buried under sax and guitar. nothing like her recordings. I love Marcia Ball but she needs new sound guy.
