Valdaway

Who or what is Valdaway? Great question! For starters it's a made up word…but it's so much more than that. It is an adventure of discovery that began some ten years ago in an isolated small town in the scenic South West of WA, when three young brothers and a best mate started jamming in the garage of their family home. When you mix four energetic crazies that share a passion for some of the most influential alternative sounds of the last 30 years, well you're only just beginning to scratch the surface of Valdaway sound. Honing their craft and developing their chops throughout virtually all WA's best known pubs, an earlier incarnation of the group saw the release of debut material, but it it wasn't until 2013 that it really felt right to brand the emerging outfit as Valdaway. Recorded with acclaimed engineer Dave Parkin (Jebediah, Abbe May) in Perth, 'Beautiful View' is the stellar first single taken from the forthcoming album 'Boom Shake Heartbreak'. The track is a shining example of the band's take on Alt-anthemic rock with a modern sonic palette. It's going to be a busy Spring/Summer ahead as the band shake off studio hibernation and get back to the stage armed with their album cuts.
