Waskasoo

After returning from the mountains of Alaska, Colin Anthony, sitting at a local bar met an old friend Paeton Cameron. The two started discussing music, from there the two started learning songs Colin had written in the Alaskan mine. They practiced and played some small venues as a twosome, under the name Waskasoo. Soon it was time to expand the sound. Paeton had a friend named Sean Vandenbrink, a stand up bass player. After a short meeting and a few practices, Sean was in. While playing in Paeton's apartment, Tyler Allen came to listen and the thought was put out that he should join the three, as the 5-string banjo player. From that point the fellows practiced and wrote together almost daily. Now the quartet play all over Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan. They bring they're original style of valley stomp folk to every venue they play, with soft ballads and driving stomps. With passion, vigor and a genue love for traditional styles and contemporary folk and bluegrass music the four are looking forward to showing off their love to anyone who will listen!
