Whitsett

In 2014 Whitsett started as Emo Rock side project for founding members Ryan & Taylor. Soon after their first Bandcamp release, Ryan took things in a different direction. Being on the front end of the Synth-Pop Wave in 2015, Whitsett quickly began to see their popularity grow after being placed on official Spotify playlists. Shortly after the release of “Make It” in 2017, Ryan decided to put the band on hold with the hope of, one day, returning to the original sound.


In Fall of 2019, Whitsett began talking of a return from their almost three year hiatus. Whitsett announced their return and began writing new music. Quickly after releasing 2 singles at the top of 2020, the world stopped.




Ryan & Taylor took the past two years to write and record Whitsett’s latest 5 song EP, “Friends or Whatever” including the single “Parking Lots” featuring emo legends, Emery.




With this new release and newly found success on social media, Whitsett is finally getting it’s time to shine.
