James Dean is a live looping artist offering relaxing multi-instrumental arrangements in varied genres including Smooth Jazz, Soft Rock, Funk, Reggae, R&B and more.
Through the use of a technique known as "Live Looping" James is able to build entire songs live on stage by recording each instrument as he performs, then “looping” the instruments back while layering the next instrumental parts in as the song builds. The end result is a full band sound performed completely live (without the use of any prerecorded tracks), Listeners are invited on a musical journey as the entire song is built in front of them piece by piece. In James' own words, "It's like painting with sound.". The new millennium version of a "one-man band".
