Artist bio
Always having a penchant for picking up new hobbies, I began teaching myself to play guitar at the age of 12. When I wasn’t practicing sleight-of-hand you could find me in my room slaving away on the latest tab I was attempting to learn. What I didn't know at the time was that I would fall in love with music the way I did and find that sense of freedom of expression that only music can offer.
A few years into learning guitar I began to take an interest in singing, and it wasn’t long before I found myself performing whole acoustic covers for friends and family whenever I had the opportunity.
For a long while, I never performed more than those small gatherings on rare occasions. It wasn't until I started working at a bar called Tonic in my hometown of Wake Forest, NC that I really kicked off this amazing musical journey. It was there that I met my great friend and mentor, Anthony Rogowski. Not long after meeting me and finding out that I played guitar and sang a little bit here and there, he invited me to the weekly open mic he hosted at another bar in town. It took me a while to pluck up the courage to go and perform in a setting like that, but after enough of Anthony's badgering I finally took the first step towards what would turn my passion for music into my full-time career.
I look up to artists like Hozier, Noah Kahan, Ed Sheeran, and even more
phenomenal local musicians that I'm fortunate enough to call my friends. They all, in their own ways, embody the passion and real, raw storytelling that I love so much about music and have helped me curate a very unique style and sound of my own.
