Summer Fling

Summer Fling is a high-energy New York City-based band blending funk, pop, soul, and jazz into immersive live shows that connect with audiences across generations. The seven-piece group features a dynamic three-piece horn section, delivering bold brass, tight grooves, and an electrifying, dance-driven sound. At its core, Summer Fling exists to create space within the present moment—bringing people together through joy, movement, and shared experience.

Formed by frontman Eddie Kam and multi-instrumentalist Grant Tucker, who began playing together on a street corner in Larchmont, NY, the band was built on spontaneity and connection from the very start. Each member brings a foundation in traditional jazz training alongside diverse musical influences, resulting in a sound that is both polished and playful. Eddie’s background in musical theater shapes the band’s immersive performance style—charismatic and high-energy on stage, yet thoughtful in its intention.

Summer Fling prides itself on performing regularly across New York City and the Northeast, building a reputation for delivering one of the most entertaining live performances in the region. They have brought their vibrant energy to notable stages including Stephen Talkhouse, Mr. Purple, and Elements Music Festival.
