Bernice Ye: Wuhan Clan Ain't Nuthin' ta Duck Wit **UPDATED** - San Diego!! It's Halloween, and Street Fighter Movie would just have come out, what else can the Jackie Chan of Comedy do other than showing up as Chun Li? I'm making it a Street Fighter themed night. Let's party!! Bernice Ye landed in the U.S. from Wuhan, China with $1,000 and a computer science degree. She built a career at Microsoft and Hulu, then walked away from tech for the comedy stage. Now she is an international touring comedian, comedy rapper, and Taekwondo black belt dubbed "The Jackie Chan of Comedy," with 400K+ followers and 100 million+ views. Wuhan Clan Ain't Nuthin' ta Duck Wit is where razor-sharp jokes, infectious rap hooks, martial arts, audience interaction, and cinematic multimedia collide. It is part comedy special, part concert, and unlike anything else on the comedy circuit. "She hypnotizes you. You leave lighter, louder, and with her songs stuck in your head." This Halloween, San Diego joins the Wuhan Clan. Leave as a slightly worse influence on society.

Fearless. Funny. Impossible to label.

Bernice Ye is a Wuhan-born, Seattle-forged, and L.A.-based comedian, rapper, and martial artist who fuses stand-up, hip-hop, and kung fu flair into an electric, one-of-a-kind live experience. Dubbed “The Jackie Chan of Comedy” (The Stranger, 2025), she left her tech career to pursue comedy full-time—transforming stages across the U.S. and Asia with her sharp wit and bold originality.

A featured performer at the New York Comedy Festival, San Diego Comedy Festival, and Laugh After Dark Comedy Festival, and selected Best of the Fest at the Burbank Comedy Festival, Ye has toured extensively across the West Coast, earning 80M+ views online and performing sold-out shows from Seattle to Singapore.

Her award-winning debut single Asian Chicken Salad sparked a wave of viral comedy raps, including fan favorites like Naturalization Test, Free Trial Jesus, BOBA (Tyrant of Boobs), and From Wuhan to the USA —now streamed in over 70 countries for their fearless mix of humor, heart, and rhythm.

As The Stranger wrote, “Ye can take a subject as dry as the myriad tones in the Chinese tongue and make it very juicy indeed. And the way she says ‘cocky muthafucka’ will impel you to put the phrase on a loop in your brain.”

Her newest project, Godmutha Ye: From Wuhan to the USA, brings her journey full circle—blending stand-up, music, and martial arts into a cinematic comedy concert experience. Fans proudly call themselves part of the Wuhan Clan, chanting her signature slogan:
🗣️ “Wuhan Clan ain’t nuthin’ to duck with!”
