Jack Amblin Drums

As a proud Welshman, my first drum teacher, Peter James, is still one my of dearest friends and greatest influences, nurturing both my playing ability and my love of vintage Ludwig drums.

Since graduating from Leeds College of Music in 2013, I have had a varied and exciting career; drumming, singing, playing washboard and tap dancing (!) all over the world with bands and artists such as Postmodern Jukebox, Ashley Campbell, Casey 'Bassy' Abrams, The Jive Aces, Down for the Count Orchestra, National Big Band of Wales, Ray Gelato and The Pasadena Roof Orchestra.

I am equally as passionate about preserving the history of Jazz from the early 1920s to Rock 'n' Roll of the late 50s as I am about playing it. So I also collect vintage drums, transcribe the drummers that I love, as well as faithfully reproducing drum tracks from the 1940s and 50s with HepCat Drum Tracks.

Career highlights include performing at the London Palladium, L'Olympia in Paris, Ronnie Scotts and every gig I get to do back in Cymru!
