Cordis in custodia stands out as a uniquely styled musical ensemble.
Its artistic vision thrives on versatility, continuously exploring crossover projects, pushing boundaries, and conducting research to reveal the nuanced possibilities of blending their distinct vocal timbres.

The group was founded by countertenors David Feldman and Doron Schleifer, driven by their shared passion for the castrati repertoire and aimed to showcase their singing skills and special voices, whether gracing the opera stage, sacred spaces, or intimate chamber concerts.

The ensemble has given concerts across Europe and has appeared at renowned festivals and venues such as the Schlossmediale Werdenberg, Händel-Haus Halle and the Innsbruck Abendmusik.

In 2022, Cordis in custodia received a nomination by REMA for their project “Echos” and won the second prize in the small ensembles category from the Petrichor music competition.
