SoulFried and A Plane to Catch: Two bands - one funky experience! SoulFried SoulFried was formed in 2020 and consists of 7 hard-hitting, soul-cleansing funksters. Drawing inspiration from James Brown, Snarky Puppy, Fearless Flyers, The Meters, and Maceo Parker, SoulFried is a funk/fusion band delivering a sizzling set of original funk, soul, jazz, latin, rock, and hip-hop inspired grooves. In 2024, the band released their debut album, "Chonk Lé Fonk". SoulFried takes you on an exciting listening journey with surprising beats that satisfy your musical appetite and get your funk-loving, soulful heart pumping A Plane To Catch A Plane To Catch came to life in the spring of 2021 when 6 young Danish jazz musicians met at Bolsjefabrikken late one night in Copenhagen. They listened to funk, afrobeat, soul, and Motown, and began jamming groove-based music. The vibe was great, and they started meeting every week. The band was formed, and a common goal of igniting dancing feet, swaying hips, and incredible parties continues to drive this fantastic groove band. The band consists of some of Denmark's leading young jazz musicians and exclusively plays original compositions. Drawing inspiration from musicians like Maceo Parker, Fela Kuti, Al Green, Eddie Harris, James Brown, and many others, the band has found its own unique funk, soul, latin, salsa, afrobeat, fused sound. With vast experience from the Danish and international music scene, this new ensemble delivers top-notch instrumental dance music.
