Joe Satriani

It's very impressive to see Joe Satriani playing...it's just so smooth and looks so easy for him. I found parts of his impros to be somewhat similar to the old Kirk Hammett solos which was really fun, you can see the master/student link.

Incredible players not much more to say there. Only issue was audibility of Steve’s backing band. Satch’s keyboard player nailed the vocals when he took over on singing the covers at the end, and the Steve/Joe collab song was awesome live.

One is an alien 👽One is a wizard 🧙🏻‍♂️ Together they transcend space and time and sound. Incredible show! Vai and Satriani are two of the best guitarists to ever manipulate six strings and take them to realms never thought possible…

Event was classic , seeing two iconic players in one authentic arena was a once in a lifetime experience. Teacher and student playing together with similar, but different styles was incredible, the show was awesome, I highly recommend going out a seeing these two great performers

Incredible concert at an awesome venue! Definitely a once in a lifetime experience to see these two legends before this way. I've seen them individually but unfortunately never together with G3 so this was absolutely amazing! I'm looking forward to hearing the other new music they are working on together other the The Sea of Emotion Pt. 1

Steve came on first and the sound was amazing . Very smooth. Joe came out after and killed it . Then they both came out for I think a new tune then played A Van Halen and Metallica song. Kind of funny the ties Joe has with Sammy from Van Halen and Kirk Hammett from Metallica .

It was an indescribably good experience. After almost three hours of concert, we left wanting to have spent three more hours. Whether it was because of the three-year wait, because of the great songs he played, because of the good feeling with the public or because of the luxury of seeing such a group of musicians fly by like a silver surfer. Good room sound and what a great selection of tracks.

Les concerts de rock assis, ce n'est plus possible ! Pauvre ambiance dans un Olympia au public de papis et mamies. Le volume de la guitare est clair mais très fort, dommage aussi de ne pas distribuer des bouchons d'oreilles à l'entrée. Et comble du mauvais goût, une entracte au bout d'une heure de concert pour que les vip passent 20min avec Monsieur Satriani. C'était la dernière fois que je viendrais voir Satriani, au public vieillissant et l'ambiance moyenne pour un tarif très élevé.

The show was absolutely outstanding , everything was perfect from the venue, the security and staff and Joe and the band were on fire especially Satriani. My only gripe is Satriani could have been a bit more fan friendly at the end of the show as a hand full of fans waited patiently to meet him and we got blanked. None the less I got superb value for money and it was worth the 3 year wait.

Got the VIP package and was able to ask Mr. Satriani a question or 2. The issue that effectively ruined this concert was the venue and the security 'guards' taking their jobs WAY too seriously. My wife and I were among the last to leave the Q&A forum as we had to pick up an item that Mr. Satriani had signed for us. However one of the security guards rushed us out implying that we were holding people up (there were only 2 people left behind us). this was 90 minutes before the show. The second - and more important issue to know about this venue - wasn't somthing we really recognized when we bought the tickets - was that each row has 50-80 seats. There is no center aisle that people can walk down through. No. that means that ALL the people who sit in the middle have to step over/around all the people sitting down. This was a horrible way to watch a concert - between the geriatrics who couldn't hold their beer/liquor/water to the people who were fashionably late or the smokers needing a hit. Never again will I watch a concert at this venue. Those 2 issues alone were enough to spoil the night. Throw in the standard mental-giants directly behind us trying to have a CONVERSATION at a ROCK CONCERT, yelling the whole time. But this was something that has to be dealt with at any concert - Again, the older ushers didn't do anything about it. Lastly - was the sound engineer. This was my 3rd Satriani concert (probably my last). I saw hime in Long Island and Washington DC. Here in Clearwater, The hall itself has a lot of good sound qualities where needed. The issue being that a lot of the musical notes and even individual instruments were very muddled at times and they tried to 'cover' it by making the sounds louder, which just made things worse.... Bottom line - don't watch concerts at Ruth Eckerd Hall

LIGHTS OUT, MUST SEE SHOW!!! THANKS to Joe, his band mates, their crew (the sound was STELLAR! Nice visuals/lights, too!) and all who made our evening BLISSFUL!!! What a GEM of a venue, too!!! If you’re ever near Des Moines, Iowa stop in for a show or take the self tour of the Hoyt Sherman. Super cool architecture.

Sounded great . Played for almost 3 hours . Would like to have seen and heard more songs from new release like Sailing the Seas of Ganymede or Through a Mothers Day Darkly . Not sure of the technical aspects to play these live but would have been great . Other than wanting the set list to have a higher number of current releases , as I’ve seen Joe a few times he was great as usual . Top of my list . Wouldn’t let me choose higher than 4 1/2 stars . Joe = 5 stars . My 19 and 17 year olds have grown up listening to Joe and it was there first time seeing him and they were blown away . Generational Joe .

Simply amazing! The most talented, high energy and unique style guitarist I’ve ever seen live and I’ve seen them all. If you ever have the opportunity to catch Joe’s live show, do it or you will regret it. Trust me Joe and his band are worth every penny and more!

An incredible venue to see and hear Joe and the band. And what a show it was! A great selection of songs from Joe’s catalog. Joe was amazing as to be expected. Kenny, Bryan, and Rai held everything down. Worth seeing a second time.

I LOVE MY PAINTING! I really loved the fact Joe took the time to sit down with me and explain the process of how he makes his paintings! And I really think he liked the painting I made for him! Great night! Marianne & Robert were awesome hosts!!

By far one of the BEST shows I've ever been to!! Great display of talent and to see so many people just having a great time was one of the BEST Saturday night's you can have in downtown Minneapolis during a snow storm! I LOVED EVERY SECOND!!! 🤘🤘

Good interview with the G3 guitarists. I also ordered the latest Satriani CD which I received at this event and after listening to it today, is great. Only thing lacking was a meet and greet but how many times do you get to see an up close an interview with three very talented musicians. Looking forward to seeing the actual concert next week in NYC.

The most amazing concert I've been to in a long time.. I had the pleasure of meet n greet VIP tickets and front row seats to boot .. A guitar god with a boy next door attitude.. Couldn't meet a nicer guy!!!

what a Long set, Love that. But then again he has so many great tunes he can back it. I am unfamiliar with his new album but the song butterfly and zebras kinda hit close to home... I hope he comes back to Tucson, Az soon!!

Once again my mind & senses were blown away! Yet again another amazing performance all-around. Joe and the band where ON! Just a flawless performance. Pearl theater is the perfect place for this venue. AMAZING SHOW!!!!
