About this concert
A tradition for more than a decade, The Lower Lights Christmas concerts bring all the guitars, banjos, harmonies, mandolins, organs, pianos, fiddles, drums, and even a concertina. All to ring in the Christmas season with equal parts revelry and reverence.

The Lower Lights Biography
Take one part “O Brother, Where Art Thou”, one part campfire folk music, one part candlelit concert, and one part stompy gospel revival, then mix it all up. Sprinkle in some wicked guitar/banjo/mandolin solos, a frontline of fantastic singers, and a pinch (or two) of the unexpected and that’s The Lower Lights. If you need a tidy genre, how about: gospel-folk-bluegrass-icana? Or, more succinctly, “great music.” The band breathes vibrant new life into classic hymns, Hank Williams’ gospel tunes, old school country songs, Celtic ballads, even songs by Stevie Wonder and Dolly Parton.
