Austin Mackay Biography

Hailing from Newcastle NSW, Austin Mackay is known for his diverse approach to songwriting that seamlessly blends heartfelt folk melodies with a dynamic country/rock energy. Drawing on the influences of James Bay, John Mayer and Chris Stapleton, Austin spent years crafting his own fusion of country/folk/rock, brought to life through his raw storytelling and captivating deliveries.

Austin’s charming stage presence has seen him support the likes of Morgan Evans, Brad Cox, The Dreggs, Kim Churchill and Thirsty Merc (to name a few), as well as playing at a number of renowned Australian festivals including 'Byron Bay Bluesfest' and 'Springtime Festival'.
