Rachel Drew Band Biography

Rachel Drew is a singer-songwriter from Chicago. She grew up in a musical family and is known for her voice, her authenticity, and the emotional depth of her songs that blend rock, country, pop, folk, and retro soul. "Old Sky New" is her band's much anticipated second album recorded with Blaise Barton at Grammy-winning Joyride Studios. The album features John Szymanski, Alton Smith, Cathie Van Wert Menard, Michael Krayniak, Jason Batchko, and Chloe F. Orwell. It will be released on March 1. Songs from the record will be featured on NPR's Great American Folk Show on February 24th. "Old Sky New" and its 12 new songs will hit streaming services on March 1, 2024. The release show will be at Fitzgerald's Nightclub on March 28, 2024, with the Famous Brothers opening the show.

Lemon Fresh Music says of Rachel, "Vocals are totally made for radio, tone is so very endearing, production work is super solid."

Amy Gee of Click Roll Boom says, "Rachel's voice is both powerful and possesses a rich and absorbing quality, while also bearing a tender nature with an air of vulnerability."

B-Side Guys says, "Her style, reminiscent of Neko Case and Lucinda Williams, imbues the track with a deep, soulful quality that speaks directly to the listener’s emotions."
