About this concert
Generations of music lovers have been brought up with ICEHOUSE hits such as Crazy, Electric Blue, We Can Get Together, Great Southern Land, Hey Little Girl and Man Of Colours to name a few. Icehouse have sold more than 12 million albums, have had eight Top 10 albums and more than 30 Top 40 singles.
'GREAT SOUTHERN LAND' reproduces the energy and the unique sound of a live ICEHOUSE performance, featuring all the iconic ICEHOUSE hits in a 90 minute tribute that will delight any audience.
Fronting the six-piece band is international Rugby League legend Eric Grothe on guitar and lead vocals. Eric is joined by his 'Gurus' band members Patrick Hopkins (Drums & Vocals), Dave Cunningham (Bass & Vocals) & Ted Brennan (Lead Guitar & Vocals). Added to this experienced line-up are the multi-talented Darren Lane (Keyboards & Vocals) and Damien Hills (Sax & Vocals).

The Gurus are solid, rockin’ party covers band that has its origins from Sydney bands, " Three Day Grothe " & "Dave Gleeson & The Stilsons".
Rugby League legend Eric Grothe (Snr) fronts the band on vocals & guitar.
The band has been delighting Australian audiences since 2007 and have featured many special guest vocalists including: Dave Gleeson (The Screaming Jets), Jon Stevens (Noiseworks), Wolf Mail (USA blues legend), Sarah McLeod (The Superjesus), Mark Gable (Choirboys) and Mike Vee (Whispering Jack).
Other members of the Gurus are:
Dave Cunningham: bass & vocals, (ex Vegimite Reggae),
Patrick Hopkins: drums & vocals, (ex Dave Gleeson & His Band The Stilsons, Wolf Mail),
Ted Brennan: guitar & vocals (ex The Booze Brothers).
