About this concert

Willebrant is the ambient field drone project of Naarm/Melbourne bassist and producer Karl Willebrant. In 2020, Willebrant entered the home studio and delved into his love of ambient, emerging with a myriad of releases to critical acclaim, featuring collaborations with artists from Europe, The United States and Australia. Fresh from recent touring with fellow ambienteer, IKSRE in support of her latest release 'abundance', experience a captivating and immersive set of continuous soundscapes and textures as Willebrant traverses landscapes of the mind's eye with support from introspective musical voyager, Hipwell.

Willebrant is the ambient field drone project of Naarm/Melbourne bassist and producer Karl Willebrant. In 2020, Willebrant entered the home studio and delved into his love of ambient, emerging with a myriad of releases to critical acclaim, featuring collaborations with artists from Europe, The United States and Australia.

Willebrant creates immersive textures and emotive expanses that allow the listener to conceive a visual experience through the mind's eye, traversing soundscapes and drones utilizing bass guitars, found instruments, synths, and field recordings.
