Luna Kiss Biography

Luna Kiss are a four-piece rock quartet from Coventry City. Having formed in 2013, the band (consisting of Wil Russell – vocals/guitar, Chris Butler – guitar, Harvey James – bass guitar, and James Pedley – drums), have released several records to date, breaking through with Following Shadows, their 2018 full-length LP. The record, described as ‘broodingly gnarly’ by Classic Rock Magazine, gained notable plays on Planet Rock, Kerrang! And BBC Radio 1’s Rock Show, as well as press coverage from Powerplay and Classic Rock Magazine.

Throughout 2020-21 Luna Kiss have been working on their follow-up EP. The band’s focus to create a record that is full of grit, energy and swagger has come into sharp focus, falling on the perfect sweet spot where both simplicity and intricacy collide. As the success of artful figures like Biffy Clyro, Muse, and Queens of The Stone Age increasingly confirm, there really is a big audience out there for rock music that dares to dream, and Luna Kiss are no different. From Lust for Blood to Operate the band are striving to create music that isn’t afraid to address the emotional truths of their listeners and celebrate them with the roaring sound of rock and roll.

Luna Kiss are no strangers to the stage, having had opportunities to tour across The Netherlands and Germany since 2015, with notable performances at Lorelei Theatre (Germany), Godiva Festival (England), HRH (Wales), and a handful of BBC introducing stage, satisfaction for Luna Kiss really does come from playing live. Their live shows are an extension of their records, and in 2021 they returned with an exciting new show, exploring both lighting and visual elements.

Described by Overtone Magazine as “broodingly dark Alt-rock 4-piece transformed the stage into an altar of lights and screens as they proceeded to play one of the tightest sets I’ve seen. It seriously won’t be long before Luna Kiss are one of the biggest upcoming rock bands in the country.”
