Baffo d'Oro

Baffo d'Oro from Bern play garage punk. Or maybe its just rock music. Straightforward and full of energy. The band has just released a new demo tape in the beginning of the 2024.

Originally, guitarist and singer Michel, bassist Björn and guitarist Kaspar only wanted to write two songs for an alternative public viewing during the Football World Cup in 2018. But the vibe was right.
After a break, the four of them continued in 2020 with drummer Orlando and new ideas. With influences from early 70s and 80s punk, various rock genres, indie music and a preference for catchy melodies and reduced arrangements, new songs emerged.

In spring 2022, they went to Matthias Urech's Groove Factory Studio to record the first two football songs as a reminiscence and release them on vinyl. 30 pieces, each individually cut at the Vinyl Manufaktur Bern. The record sleeves were folded and printed by the band themselves. D.I.Y in the 2020s.

At the beginning of 2024, four new demo tracks were released. Recorded in the rehearsal room and mixed by Luca Cavandoli (Influx Studios, Bern). The sound is somewhere between garage and classic punk. Instead of writing about football, the Baffos now write about the state of society and the current zeitgeist. And are more than ready to perform their songs live more regularly.
