The Modern Rogues Biography
The Modern Rogues are a Country/Pop/Rock band hailing from South Wales.
The band was started in 2019 just prior to the COVID-19 pandemic by Josh and Melvyn, who were looking to start a new venture together. Josh and Melvyn had seen some success with their previous power pop band; “The Direction”, who received some critical acclaim from BBC Radio Wales presenters.
During the pandemic, Josh and Melvyn started work on writing a catalogue of original country songs and remotely recorded a single; Take Me Tonight, and an EP called The Inside Sessions.
Mid 2023 the band released a self produced single “End Of The Line” and are heading into the studio early 2024 to record their next EP.
Quotes:
“I'm sure The Modern Rogues will go on to greater things, they are clearly a tight band with an abilty for great harmonies” Chris Farlie w21Music
“Really good, guitar-driven music” Simon Birds ARC Radio
