“I had a terrible time” is what I would say if I had stayed home that night. Instead, because I was there, I did not say that.

Dazies Biography
Dazies is Eddie Gore’s most ambitious and personal project to date. The dissolution of his previous band, Future Generations, in 2020 led him to question not only his identity as a musician but his place in the world as a whole. Going from touring cross-country, selling out venues like Elsewhere Hall, to an abrupt stop brought on a depression unlike anything he’d experienced before. For a time, he lost his sense of purpose. He had to look deep inside himself to remember what it was that connected him to music in the first place. So, Dazies was born.
Teaming up with longtime drummer and collaborator, Dylan Wells, Dazies finds Gore straying from the shiny synth-pop of his past to a granular, more intentional place. Though the Nashville-born, Brooklyn-based artist has unearthed something new, in many ways, he is channeling his roots. Thoughtful, understated melodies recall the hours when a teenaged Gore would sit quietly on his home piano after schooldays, carefully spinning chords and lyrics together. The point wasn’t the end result—it was the creation that felt cathartic. And in that spirit, Gore found the courage to go on once again.
Writing music as Dazies, in short, brought Gore back to life. Through kaleidoscopic instrumentation, dreamy production, and ruminative lyricism, Dazies will resonate with anyone longing for connection in this increasingly fractured world.
