About this concert
Muerto o vivo ! s’inspire de la tradition mexicaine. Un gouverneur tyrannique, aux caprices sans bornes, et qui est terrorisé par la mort, soumet toute la population d’une ville, et entend la faire travailler à son service exclusif. Pourtant un immeuble résiste à cette fureur totalitaire. Deux policiers idiots mènent l’enquête, mais leurs maladresses conduiront le tyran à rencontrer les habitants de cet immeuble tant redouté : des petits squelettes facétieux, joyeux et délurés, conduits par La Muerta elle-même ! Les trois interprètes du spectacle jouent en direct la partition sonore – y compris les voix de ce dessin animé projeté sur grand écran : une expérience étonnante et stimulante.

Yael Miller Biography
Yael Miller’s soulful sound, deeply personal songwriting and engaging stage presence are making a splash on the current scene. Originally from Tel Aviv, where she studied voice, piano and trombone at the Yigal Alon Conservatory, today she is focusing on her own musical compositions and performances.
Now based in Geneva and Paris, Miller founded the modern jazz group Orioxy, which released three albums to international acclaim (including Grand Prize from the jury at the Avignon Jazz Festival) and has performed at such prestigious locations as Jazz à la Villette, the Sunset (Paris), the Cully Jazz Festival, the Copenhagen Jazz Festival, the Alhambra (Geneva), and Like a Jazz Machine (Luxembourg).
She also teaches at Geneva Popular Conservatory, collaborates with various musicians in the rock, klezmer, experimental and rap genres, and performs in musicals.
Bordering on indie pop-rock, Yael Miller’s intense minimalism draws her listeners to the heart of her unique and iconoclastic musical landscape. She sings carefully crafted lyrics in English, French and Hebrew, and accompanies herself on synthesizers and Wurlitzer piano; Roland Merlinc and Baptiste Germser provide a harmonious backdrop on drums and bass.
Yael Miller’s premiere EP was released in September, 2017 in France and Switzerland. The release of her first album is scheduled for the autumn of 2018.
