Marina Eckhart liest aus ihrer Fantasy-Abenteuer-Buchreihe "Das Band der Samienen" und spielt dazu Songs ihres Albums "Lifts Me High" und ihrer Band Under Violet Skies. Begleitet wird sie dabei von Alex Bartunek (Gitarre) & Josef Haas (Bass).

Marina Eckhart ist Drummer, Singer & Songwriter und kommt aus Wenns, Österreich. Sie studierte am Drummers Collective in New York City Schlagzeug und gründete bald darauf ihre Band „Under Violet Skies“. 2021 veröffentlicht Marina ihr erstes Soloalbum „Lifts Me High“.
Parallel dazu begann sie vor einigen Jahren mit der Arbeit an ihrem ersten Buch „Das Band der Samienen“. Der letzte Teil der Trilogie wurde 2021 fertig gestellt und veröffentlicht.
Marina ist von allen Dingen begeistert, die der Fantasie keine Grenzen setzen, was sich auch in ihrem Buch widerspiegelt. Die Helden der Geschichte nutzen Portale um in fremde Welten zu reisen, besitzen magische Kräfte und bekämpfen furchteinflößende Kreaturen, die drohen, ihre Heimat zu zerstören.
Weiters gestaltet Marina als leidenschaftliche Malerin all ihre Buch- & Albumcover selbst und mittlerweile sind ihre Designs auch auf Textilien gedruckt erhältlich.

Under Violet Skies Biography
The journey starts in 2012 when drummer Marina Eckhart meets guitarist Alex Bartunek. They soon discover that they share the same musical vision and so Under Violet Skies is formed, with Marina additionally taking on vocals and also piano in the quieter moments of the band. Josef Haas on bass completes the trio, which is now equally based in Vienna, Graz & Imst in Austria.
All three musicians share their desire to stay independent, so it goes without question that they would produce and record all of their material by themselves. It’s very important for the band that everything released under their name, be it music or videos, is hundred percent them.
Work on the demo "Lost Inside Me" is completed in 2014. It showcases Under Violet Skies’ musical melange of alternative rock mixed with metal, funk, pop and classical influences, together with electronic elements.
2018 sees the release of the band’s official debut "Colors of Chaos", followed by the EP "Surrounded by Light" in 2020, featuring exclusively piano songs. "The Wonders I Have Seen", the second full length album, is released in 2021.
"Maybe This Is Why", Under Violet Skies’ new single showing their acoustic side, is available on December 16, 2022.
