Human Abyss

HUMAN ABYSS are a berlin-based extreme metal band formed in 2019. Their music combines
melancholic melodies, atmospheric black metal and relentless death metal riffing with groove-
driven rhythms into a dynamic mix of aggression and atmosphere. Their sound drawing inspi-
ration from old-school acts such as Dark Funeral, Behemoth, Cannibal Corpse, Bolt Thrower.

Fronted by an intersex vocalist, the band channels experiences of trauma, mental health and
bodily autonomy into deeply personal lyrics.
Remaining entirely DIY, the band handles everything from booking and promotion to recording
and album production independently. Sharing the stage with bands like ANCST, Hiraes, Bipolar
Architecture, Burn Down Eden, For I am King, Eremit, Horresque and many others, the band
has earned a reputation for intense, authentic, high-energy live performances.

HUMAN ABYSS collaborated with Britta Görtz (Cripper, Critical Mess, Hiraes) on the track "Cut".
The song addresses medically unnecessary "normalizing" surgeries performed on intersex
people. The song and the accompanying music video became one of the band's most success-
ful releases to date. In early 2027, the band will release their third full-length album.
