disCerN Verb 1. Perceive or recognize (something). 2. Distinguish (someone or something) with difficulty by sight or with the other senses. disCerN is a duo formed in the beginning of 2013 comprised of the producers & DJ's Jonny Cruz & Silky. The two met and instantly formed a musical bond and began collaborating heavily in the studio together. After a few sessions they realized they were onto something and decided to create an alter ego for themselves and thus was born disCerN. The name disCerN came because of its meaning, to recognize something, something that happened immediately after they clashed heads in the studio together. With an almost immediate effect they've signed singles to Culprit LA, Lee Burridge's "Get Weird" label, Michael Tello (PillowTalk) & Ray Zuniga's imprint Touch Of Class Records and have done remixes for Lower East and Faceless Recordings. Pete Tong recently featured their collaborative single “Calling For You” on BBC Radio One’s Essential Selection. The legend that is Timo Maas has personally signed a new disCerN single “Coarse Language” for his CD mix compilation forthcoming this summer on Toronto’s My Favorite Robot Records. With an album on the way with Touch of Class, disCerN has been seen to play most of the Touch of Class label showcases globally. Their recent b2b DJ sets have taken the industry by storm and have proven to be a lethal combination. Expect great things from disCerN with more heavy releases and remixes in the pipeline, these boys are no joke. disCerN
