Bird Girl

Birdgirl, a fresh face to the emo-folk family of Naarm, welcomes us to their debut headlining show. Specialising in Australiana-folk goodness, Birdgirl shares emotive music about the personal and shared experiences of growing up queer and neurodivergent in conservative areas. Emphasizing the importance of queer spaces, she invites you to get out this winter and connect with others in a wholesome, feet-up-at-the-fire show, designed to bring the community together.  Joining Birdgirl will be Jesse Echo and Local Sweetheart. Jesse Echo is a non-binary trans-femme artist that blends folk-punk with spoken word, to create authentic and beautiful storytelling. Local Sweetheart's art aims to blend bittersweet lyrics carried over dreamy harmonies to give voice to the feelings we didn't know we had,  their songs laced with the experiences of being queer and non-binary.  We invite you to come join us this winter, to bring the community together. Feel free to wear your favourite Aussie band t-shirt, so you can start up a conversation with a stranger, and perhaps even make some new mates!
