Born on the same day as Barbra Streisand and raised on a diet of US Soul Classics, Hanna Haïs has been singing since childhood.

Hanna’s first single “Il parlait pas français”, produced by Larry Heard, was released by French label Distance in 2002. It was a favorite of Laurent Garnier, and one of the first House Music tracks sung in French.

In 2005 Hanna Haïs released her first album 'Rosanova', which includes tracks produced by Matthias Heilbronn, Sergio Flores, Ralf Gum, Mikael Delta, Larry Heard and Christof Kardek. After a huge success in Europe, the album has now been released all over Asia (Japan, Korea, Taïwan, China, India...) and in the USA. The album “Rosanova” has reached #2 in the dance Charts in Japan (Ward/Avex) and Hanna has been touring all over Asia during the summer of 2006.

Released in May 2006, her single 'Jazz Samba' produced by Danny Marquez with the amazing Ian Carey Remix went straight away to #1 on Traxsource. ‘Jazz Samba’ was included on many compilations and supported by DJs like Jay-J, Copyright, DJ Pierre, Timmy Vegas (Soul Central), Jamie Lewis, Milk n Sugar etc. Hanna has also have another single out this year ‘Jungo’, which was produced by Cutee B (of Bob Sinclar/’Rock This Party’ fame), this single is currently being remixed by DJ Meme from Brazil and will be promoted at the 2007 Winter Music Conference.

Following last year signature of 'Rosa Nova', Defected's boss Simon Dunmore has picked up another single from Hanna 'Ta Reine', this single was remixed by Jamie Lewis and DJ Pierre and was released in January 2007, it went straight to #1 on Traxsource again.

Hanna Haïs' tracks have been included on some of the biggest compilations from Defected: Ibiza In The House, Miami In The House, Soulheaven presents Masters At Work etc and also Hed Kandi, Buzzin Fly, Ultra, Cirque du Soleil, Slip&Slide…
