When storms approach, most birds seek shelter. There are a few species though that actually fly into the storm. In fact, the louder the storm gets, the louder they sing.

After battling stage-4 cancer for the last 9 years, Paul Reeves has learned to sing into the storm.
Paul has recently begun sharing stories from this journey in his most recent album, Sing Into the Storm. This 11-song soundtrack is ultimately about discovering abundant life and how we are healed from the inside out.

When you’re told you may have one year to live, you can’t help but think about the biggest questions of our existence- What is the real storyline of our existence- Why are we here? Where did we come from? How do we relate to the source from which we came from? How are we to live here and now? And of course, where is this story ultimately heading after we die?

“While these questions can be overwhelming, if we press hard enough into them, we discover nothing but unbounded love on the other side. Cancer ended up being the voice loud enough to get my attention that my spirit needed healing. While it certainly wasn’t clear from the beginning, it has turned out to be nothing but a gift of grace. I’ve been liberated from a lifetime of fear and brokenness and welcomed me into infinite love and grace and peace. Beneath our brokenness we find a perfectly loved child of God. My prayer is that all would know we are fully loved- in fact our very DNA is the love of God.”

From indie folk to alternative rock to even reggae, each song aptly captures the mood of that particular section of the inward journey. Both the tenderness and strength of his heart clearly rings out in every line he sings with courageous honesty. Paul will begin touring this fall in support of his first release in 15 years in hopes that he might share the medicine he has received. Don’t expect his shows to be dark and gloomy- his music and presentation clearly reflects the joy and life and unshakable peace he is now living from.
