Favoured State are bringing their energetic and erratic brand of post-punk to The Tote Upstairs for the first time to launch “It’s A Mess”, their debut EP. A powerhouse of jerky, angular guitar riffs, groovy bass lines, and erratic yet formidable rhythms, “It’s A Mess” explores numerous global issues prompted by dystopian ideals, the irony and hypocrisy spouted by those in power, and the various forces of oppression that we have all experienced at one time or another. Playing their first shows in 2023, FS took to stages all over Victoria and have played with interstate acts like Radium Dolls, and international acts such as Berlin’s S.U.G.A.R.Joining them for the show are Blowers and Echo Social Club.It's going to be a whirlwind of emotions: you're going to feel pumped, erratic, and exhilarated - but FS ask you: what's your favoured state?
