Écrits pour la plupart dans sa jeunesse, les lieder d'Alma Mahler sont rarement interprétés, mais chacun d'entre eux est un joyau musical qui constitue une partie importante du répertoire lyrique romantique. Cet album est le premier enregistrement qui comprend l'intégralité de ses 17 lieder. À l'image de sa personnalité, les chansons d'Alma sont mystérieuses, complexes et profondes et entraînent l'auditeur dans un voyage kaléidoscopique où différentes couches de texte et de musique peuvent exprimer simultanément des sentiments religieux féroces, un érotisme bouleversant et une profonde tendresse. ALMA Biography
Edgy and unashamedly honest pop artist ALMA is known for her strong soulful voice, masterful pop hooks and flamboyant style. Spending the early part of her career touring the world and garnering heavyweight fans and writing songs for mega stars like Miley Cyrus , ALMA made her first musical offering to the world in 2016 with Karma, followed by hit singles like Chasing Highs and Dye My Hair – and went on to create four more critically acclaimed EPs - her highly anticipated debut full length album Have U Seen Her? came in May 2020.
With her second album, ‘Time Machine’, ALMA has created a heartfelt collection of impactful pop bangers that can elevate her to star status. But for ALMA, the project represents something more important than that. Earning widespread critical acclaim for her blend of energising alt-pop and searingly honest confessional lyrics, the album campaign saw the flame-haired artist connect with a huge audience when ‘Summer Really Hurt Us’ was A-listed at Radio 2 before ‘Tell Mama’ received Radio 1 airplay from Clara Amfo.
