Taína Asili will be performing songs from her new climate justice-themed show, Fever Pitch, a groundbreaking production rooted her prolific two-decade artistic journey creating music that addresses the intersectional issues related to the urgency of climate change. Fever Pitch uses Asili’s original body of work to inspire climate justice action on local, national, and global scales. Fever Pitch isn’t just a performance; it’s an invitation into the radical imagination, where new and creative ways of living harmoniously with each other and our Earth unfold.

Taina Asili Biography
Taína Asili is a Puerto Rican singer, bandleader and activist carrying on the tradition of her ancestors, fusing past and present struggles into one soulful and defiant voice. Residing in Albany, NY, she performs her social justice songs as a solo artist, and also with her eight-piece band, Taína Asili y la Banda Rebelde. In January 2017, Taina performed for over half a million people at The Women’s March on Washington. Her most recent music video “No Es Mi Presidente,” which she wrote and directed, was premiered in Rolling Stone and received national acclaim. The Huffington Post named her in a list of in a list of “12 Freedom Fighting Bands To Get You Through the Trump Years”, and Billboard Magazine featured her in a list of “11 Songs of Protest & Resistance by Latino Artists.” Taína Asili’s voice exudes strength of Spirit, filling listeners with the fervor for freedom and inspiring audiences to dance to the rhythm of rebellion. Over her 20-year career, Taina has performed around the globe, sharing the stage with renowned artists and activists such as Alicia Keys, Janelle Monae, Madonna, Talib Kweli, Angela Davis, Cornel West, Tom Morello, Jello Biafra and The Sierra Leone Refugee All-Stars.
