This summer Metro Jam is proud to be celebrating 45 years of bringing national, regional and local music to the Lakeshore area in another FREE admission music event. Metro Jam is excited to announce that Atlanta-based folk rock act Drivin N Cryin will be headlining the festival this year on Saturday, June 15, 2024. The band, which includes Wisconsin native Kevn Kinney, will take the stage in Manitowoc’s Washington Park at 8:30pm on Saturday, June 15th. The 45th Annual Metro Jam will be held on the MetroStage in downtown Manitowoc’s Washington Park, on Friday and Saturday, June 14 and 15, 2024. As always, this FREE two-day event features an array of national, regional and local acts covering a full spectrum of musical styles including jazz, blues, reggae, ska, folk, alt-country, Americana, classic rock and original rock. Metro Jam features 10 different acts over the two days of the festival. Metro Jam is presented in partnership with and in support of Grow It Forward who also coordinate the beverage and food concessions for Metro Jam. The full Metro Jam Saturday lineup for June 15, 2024 is loaded with diverse artists including the exciting Los Angeles indie-rock band The Pretty Flowers reminiscent of later Replacements and early Weezer, who will hit the stage at 7pm Saturday evening. Also featured on Saturday are The Mommyheads, a New York City based Power-Pop / Prog-Rock band now in their 37th year with 15 albums under their belt. Combustor are a new punk-rock influenced band from Milwaukee featuring veterans of Milwaukee’s early Punk scene bands, The Haskels and The Dominoes. All the way from London Ontario Canada, indie-rockers Rose Cora Perry & The Truth Untold will heat up the afternoon at 2:30pm. In addition, Manitowoc favorites Charlie Bucket will rock the early afternoon, with Irish influenced performer Marc Birr kicking off the Saturday lineup.
