Spice Biography

There are 3 artists with the name Spice: a german funk band, an jamaican female singer and an english rock band.

1. Spice (Germany):

Spice is a German funk band which recorded well known "Some Funk" and "Funkiest Body in Town", discography containing the albums "Fred's Bowling Center" (1994), "Vario Bel Air" and "69 Overdrive" (2003).

2. Spice (Jamaica):

The newest bad gal of dancehall, seen as a hardcore individual in the eyes of the public, she describes herself as a moderate person, nice, caring, loving, and one show relates easily with others. Persons recognize her as down-to-earth person. She is beautiful on the inside, as well as charming on the outside, although she considers herself miserable at times.

Grace Latoya Hamilton was born at the Spanish Town Hospital on August 6th, and grew up in Old Breaton, St. Catherine, She attended Breaton Junior High School, and later St. Catherine High School. Her friends, in a group called Gilloteen, gave her the name Spice. Whenever she was not present with her team at a party, people would ask, Where is the spicy one? Spice would be the one to give the zing to her group. Spice praises Professor Nuts, who inspired her to get started in the music business, four years ago. She started performing at local stage shows in her community and also its environs. She also thanks Baby Cham, because he is the reason she is still in the business today.

Throughout her career, she has performed at various stage shows, both locally and overseas, the biggest of which was Sting 2005, where she received overwhelming applause and shouts from the patrons. She is currently signed with Madhouse Records, which she recognizes as the best thing to ever happen to her. Love the vibes, things going good, she said, adding that she like the feed back. Her first single for Madhouse Records Complain on the Pretty Pretty Rhythm did very well both locally and overseas. Her singles Hype and Right There the latter done in collaboration with TOI a new singing sensation on Dave Kellys Bad Gal Rhythm as well as two smashing videos, hit the road recently and are creating waves. She also collaborated with Jimmy Cliff on one of his album with the hit single entitled I Want I Do I Get. Her most current song Fight Over Man released on the Mad House label is also creating quite a rave in the dances. She spends most of her time n the road, especially on the Fort Clarence and Hellshire beaches, where she enjoys relaxing and getting new ideas for her hardcore lyrics, whether from pas experiences, or just by interacting with her friends. She also shares an interest in acting and swimming. She would love to be an actress one day. With her creativity Spice is undoubtedly destined for stardom.

3. Spice (GB):

Spice (1967-1969, originally The Stalkers) was the immediate precursor to English rock band Uriah Heep, featuring David Byron (vocals), Mick Box (guitar), Paul Newton (bass), and Alex Napier (drums) (Napier was a replacement for drummer Nigel Pegrum; Pegrum would later join folk rock stalwarts Steeleye Span). The group changed their name to Uriah Heep on the inclusion in late 1969 of organist Ken Hensley, formerly of The Gods and Toe Fat. Drummer Lee Kerslake, who had played with Hensley in both bands, would follow him into Uriah Heep in 1972.

Discography
Spice released one single entitled "What About The Music" (b/w "In Love") in 1968, eventually transforming into Uriah Heep during the recording of their first full-length album. Songs recorded under the Spice name and lineup have surfaced on:
* The Lansdowne Tapes (compilation of recordings by Spice and outtakes from the first three Uriah Heep albums released under the Uriah Heep name) - Recorded 1968-1971, released 1994
* A Time of Revelation (Four-disc Anthology of Uriah Heep material, including recordings by Spice) - Recorded 1968-1995, released 1996

Spice recordings on these compilations consist of "Astranaza", "Born In A Trunk" (vocal and instrumental versions), "Celebrate", "I Want You Babe", "In Love", "Magic Lantern", "Schoolgirl", and "What About The Music". Additionally, two of the songs released on the first Uriah Heep album were recorded by the Spice lineup before Hensley's inclusion, with Colin Wood appearing on Keyboards ("Come Away Melinda" and "Wake Up (Set Your Sights)").
