Yo La Tengo

Varied and passionate. A bit to much atonal crashy guitar solos for me (it's a three piece. The rhythm section playa the same thing over and over and the guitar is just noise for like three minutes x5 songs). Which might have been more thrilling if it was louder... it was really quiet for shoegazy stuff.. When they weren't doing that, however, it was a lot of fun.

Always a good show! I ended up going to both Saturday and Sunday shows, I preferred Sundays event but that’s just my opinion.

Excellent venue and love the no-frills approach of the band. Just polite people, intimate venue, historical band. Great experience all around!

The best concert I've ever been to. I sat there openly crying for five minutes during a long solo. The intensity and emotion of their music is just indescribable. Can't wait until I can see them again.

Such a beautiful evening! I’m so grateful to have seen this show. Minus half a star only because they didn’t play Sugarcube, hehe.

Fantástico concierto donde la banda no tenía ninguna prisa en terminar, y por supuesto el público tampoco. Primera parte más tranquila y tras el descanso una segunda parte de tormentas eléctricas y pasajes psicodélicos. Muy grandes.

Two sets. First one a little slow and niche for me but the second had ‘Autumn Sweater’ which sounded great live. They played some Motörhead in the encore!

Saw YLT over 15 years ago (supporting Stereolab). They just keep getting better and better. Great gig.

They covered a Wilco song in the early act, then had Wilco come on for the encore. Beautiful show! Though the venue was insanely packed and it was hard to get into the floor to actually see and hear.

Great show, as usual. New songs getting their legs, oldies that are full of energy and so good to hear. Nice mash-up of some Grateful Dead music and references. Always a good time.

Going on their 4th decade, legendary indie rock band from New Jersey still packs a punch - excellent live experience. One minute you’re relaxing thinking you should have brought your sleeping bag and then they abruptly awake you with some heavy noise to bliss out to. Loved seeing them after being a fan for 7 years.

I love Yo La Tengo. I would have loved to see the show except that a/ it wasn't being staged in San Diego County and b/ it was already sold out when you sent me the notice. So I didn't go. But your AI robot seems to think I did. Interesting.

Amazing, beautiful and inspiring. I love these guys. They are such great musicians and performers. The encore was the sweetest and best thing I have ever experienced.

De menos a más en cuanto a intensidad. Primera parte más cálida y ambiental y una segunda parte más enérgica. Músicos brillantes, con una capacidad bestial para tocar diferentes instrumentos.

Yo La Tengo, the best. As always. It doesn’t matter how they play it, it’s played perfectly. Wonderfully dynamic, they even tolerated a less then ideal venue. For some unknown reason, the large doors on either side of the stage remained closed. The room became sweltering once the room filled the body heat from the crowd mixed with the humid air (its been a rainy September in San Antonio). With the doors closed, the only infrastructure inside the room were a handful of ceiling fans. The fans provide more harm then help, circulating the air like a convection oven while creating a noticeable squeak over Yo La Tengo’s quiet opening set. You could tell the stage was just as hot as the floor. Yo La Tengo dealt with it professionally, cutting the first set short, but promising had crowd that we were not even half way done. Its no coincidence that doors opened soon after Yo La Tengo exited the stage. Kudos to the band for dealing with a less then ideal situation professionally behind the scenes.

Friendly, supportive audience. Mostly around 40-50 year olds but not surprising since this is their fan base. An old band indeed.

Phenomenal show. Part of the second set list was the same as the night before in Asheville, but the interpretation and execution was very different, so in 3 nights YLT played 10.5 hours of music and I think 5 songs were the same. Amazing. Expectations are so high to see them and they almost always blow them away. Best band touring today. Hats off to Ira, Georgia, James and the crew:)!!Music farm is a cool venue. Audience was a little less YLTly'ish than Asheville, and certainly Nashville, but the folks that were into it were really into it (with us up front:) and I we loved every minute of it:)!
