The Oblivion

THE OBLIVION is an alternative rock band based in Clifton, New Jersey. Started by vocalist/guitarist AJ Knapp and drummer Jack Schaeffer in September 2019 as a cover band, it wasn’t long until they played their first show at The Meatlocker in Montclair NJ in November 2019. Since then, The Oblivion has established itself as a band that everybody can listen to and enjoy, taking elements from all different styles of heavy , fast, and energetic music, including grunge, punk, garage rock, stoner rock, and many others. In April 2021, they released their self-titled debut album “The Oblivion” featuring songs such as “Done with You”, “201-1”, and “I’m Different”. After receiving significant praise for their first big release, The Oblivion welcomed bassist Matt Kilroy in April 2021 and rhythm guitarist/backup vocalist Marc Maalouf in June 2021. Now , The Oblivion seeks to share their passion for music with as many people as possible.
