About this concert
In 2024 The Earth Will Turn, with American genre-trailblazers DAYSEEKER today announcing their triumphant return down under next July, joined by special guests CASEY, LANDON TEWERS and INERTIA.Marking their debut headline Australian tour following the band's first visit in 2022 supporting Thornhill and again this year supporting Beartooth and Pierce The Veil, DAYSEEKER are primed to bring their hypnotic hard rock and metallic catharsis to vivid life across Australia and also over to New Zealand in 2024.Hailing from Southern California, DAYSEEKER irresistibly fuse immersive soundscapes with glistening post-pop, experimental indie, alternative R&B and beyond into their magnetic sonic creations, with their invigorating take on modern rock'n'roll snagging the quartet hundreds of millions of streams, sold out shows and a series of acclaimed releases since forming in 2012.Recently unveiling their fifth studio album, 2022's Dark Sun, DAYSEEKER journeys through searingly intimate themes and an abundance of stylistic fluctuations, building upon their previous full-lengths What It Means To Be Defeated (2013), Origin (2015), Dreaming Is Sinking // Waking Is Rising (2017) and their 2019 opus Sleeptalk. All the way from South Wales in the UK, melodic hardcore rockers CASEY are renowned for their experimental flair and emotionally raw lyrical content. Flitting between atmospheric ambience, churning riffs and spoken word, CASEY have consistently dazzled since forming in 2014, with a brand new album How To Disappear set for release in 2024 following on from 2018's Where I Go When I Am Sleeping.Alongside his tenure as lead vocalist for American rockers The Plot In You, versatile musician and producer LANDON TEWERS has gifted fans multiple solo albums over the years, including 2016's Dynamite and 2019's Withdrawls. Embracing intimacy alongside pop subtleties and heavier nods, TEWERS' solo work previously saw him tour down under in 2022 with Ghost Atlas, aka Jesse of ERRA.Flourishing on a foundation of soulful dark pop and explosive, driving riffs, Sydney's INERTIA bring a refreshing blend of pop sensibilities and hard-hitting intensity.

Inertia Biography

Forging their own path as one of Australia’s most exciting alternative acts, Sydney quartet, Inertia, tighten their grip on modern metal as they bend and break the boundaries of their genre. Targeting fans of Loathe, Spiritbox, Thornhill and at times The Weeknd and SZA, Inertia bring elements of dark pop and soul to the forefront as they explore the darkest corners of metal music and add to it their own sprinkling of emo pop.
Inertia is Julian Latouche (vocals), Mark Williamson (guitar and production), Oliver Smith (bass) and Sebastian Schaber (drums). Since their inception in 2017, Inertia have jumped from strength to strength. Sitting pretty on tens of thousands of monthly Spotify listeners with close to 3 million digital streams across their collection, Inertia have turned heads with their unique blend of alternative metal. They attracted the attention of independent record label Resist Records, through which their 2022 EP, the acclaimed ‘Memoria,’ was released.
Tackling the implications of a growing capitalist society and the complexities of indecision and division, ‘Memoria’ quickly became a powerful staple in Inertia’s back catalogue and has seen the band tour extensively across Australia, sharing the stage with a number of prominent alternative international and Australian acts. In recent years they have shared their encapsulating live show atop stages supporting Dayseeker (US), Holding Absence (UK), Caskets (UK), Thousand Below (US), Thornhill, Void Of Vision, Ocean Grove, Thy Art Is Murder, Diamond Construct and more. July will see Inertia touring once again with Dayseeker on the ‘Dark Sun Worldwide’ tour with Casey (UK) and Landon Tewers (US).
Teasing new music for the first time since ‘Memoria’, Inertia add a fresh new track to their live setlist and embark on the journey towards their debut album, which will see its release later this year via Resist Records. Hard at work since their last offering, the four-piece examine themes of mortality, nihilism, transcendence, existentialism and self reflection on their forthcoming debut LP, further refining the sound that they have undoubtedly made their own.
