The Beatelles

The name The Mathew Street Preachers, was born many years ago by keyboard legend Tony Cook. A fun band for friends to get together and jam some choons... Now, 20 years later, Tony had a wonderful idea of chucking a part time band together, Tony is keyboardist for The Mersey Beatles, other members worked etc, so it was "just for fun". The The Mersey Beatles decided to get success in the good ole "U.S. of A" and Tony doesn't have time to be in the band at all. Have no fear, we picked up the blazing torch of music and carried on regardless. Changing the style to cover 60's pop, The Mathew Street Preachers play some of the usual suspects, but also add in some you haven't heard for years, or even live. We want you dancing, singing and reminiscing when you hear us rocking out the tunes... 4 piece cover band playing the best 60's Pop including Beatles, Stones, Kinks, Who, Faces, Nancy, Dusty, Animals, Monkees and much more...
