We are hosting our first fundraiser, "For the Love of Literacy" -- feat. The Honeyrunners. We hope you can support our cause. Date: Wed, July 24, 2019 Location: Supermarket (268 Augusta Ave, Toronto) Time: 6:30 - 10:00pm Tickets: $15 in advance, $20 at the door **This is a 19+ event** Schedule: 6:30 p.m. -- Doors Open 7:45 p.m. -- Chelsey Bennett 8:30 p.m. -- Intermission 9:00 p.m. -- The Honeyrunners The goal for this fundraiser is to collect $6,000. All funds collected will support the following initiatives: • Literacy tutoring for underprivileged students • Field trips for our Youth Literacy Initiative students • Basketball tournament for at-risk youth • GED programming for our students over 35 years old ----------------------------------------- About Literal Change: Literal Change is a registered charity that believes literacy is a right and not a privilege. We provide remedial literacy support to marginalized communities in Toronto. Literal Change has tutors in the South and East Detention Centres, as well as at Jane and Finch, to service our most at-risk youth and adults on remand.
